MILITARY STAY FAR AWAY DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! They are about to be BLACK LISTED by the military anyway. This place is terrible. They charge you for bogus things just because they are so greedy they can’t get enough. Then after I disputed these charges, one was for a microwave that quit working while I was living there that I told them about. They also charged me for a piece of tape on the front door, and they charged me for the garage door being messed up from the hurricane that I also told them about! Then after I disputed the charges they didn’t respond back to me about the disputed charges secretly took me to court and garnished my pay. I was not aware this was even going on! They took almost 75% of our paycheck and I was left with 400 dollars to take care of my three kids. Hope you feel great about yourself Holtzman. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Stay away!

Will charge you for imaginary damages from their inspecation that takes place when you are not there then will not tell you what the damages are. Don’t waste your time with them. I’d give them ZERO stars if that were an option.

While the agent was nice and helpful they make looking at the houses nearly impossible. They've had several rentals I've wanted to see which they were told before my appointment. Upon getting there I found out they were only letting me see 1 house and I'd have to make more appointments to see the other 4. Why bother when there's other places that'll just let you check out a key and look at as many as you want. I've never been more stressed trying to find a rental house! Needless to say I went over to remax instead.

If could give zero stars I would! My move out inspection was done a couple days ago, and they are charging us for every little thing! There is no such thing as normal small wear and tear! So if you have any children like I do, do not rent from them! It is impossible to not put a couple scratches on the wall when you have a toddler living in your home. And they will charge you to repaint the whole entire house for small scratches on the walls. They also are trying to charge us for shutting off our water and electricity after move out!! They state that we need to keep the water and electricity on for 10 days after move out, but they never state anything about charges! How can they charge you for something they never once had you sign and agree to! This place is taking advantage of their renters and taking the money of military. I understand charging people for the things their pets mess up and anything you break. but to charge for petty wear and tear damages and charging for things they never had you agree and sign to is ridiculous! And they also tried to charge us for stuff that wasn't even within our own house! They mixed our house with someone else's, and tried to charge us for their damages!
My husband is reporting holtzman to his old company commander and going to encourage him to spread the word to our military family in fort stewart to NOT RENT FROM THEM!! Not sure yet how much they are going to try and take from us, but we are definitely going to take them to JAG and report them to the military attorney.response / report this review -

I’ve never had a bad experience with a rental company until now. A busted pipe in the apartment I rented caused one of the bedrooms to flood halfway through the room and mainly in the closet area. The flooded room caused stains in the carpet from a Nike shoebox that was sitting on the floor. During my out-inspection and during the process of getting my deposit back, I was told that I would be charged for the stain because it “looked like orange paint, crayon, or spray paint”. I definitely will not rent with this company ever again. The charge is only $45 but the fact that I explained in my work order for the flooded room that it caused damages to carpet and they’re still not willing to refund my money is simply ridiculous. This company is simply about every dollar that it can scheme out of a customer and if I honestly could give this company a negative 5 stars I definitely would. The company should DEFINITELY be blacklisted for military!!!smh

should be *Military BLACKLISTED* DO NOT RENT. Upon move in the house was so dirty that we were given 2 days of free rent after our move in date ($82) then subsequently charged $250 upon move out for cleaning and "deodorizing" the garage. The yard was a wreck and the grass was tall, the home owners had left a overgrown garden in next to the driveway that became my problem on move out($35 to pull small vine down from garden wall) You will not see your security deposit back and will be gouged for minor repairs. Had I not looked at the out inspections charges, I was going to be charged $15 to unscrew a TV cable cord from the wall and $10 to screw a nob back onto a drawer that had come loose. If you do business with them, ensure that you annotated every single scratch in that house, every smell and every little thing that you find wrong in order to protect yourself.

They deserve less than a 1 star to be honest. They will rip you off especially if you're military so do not expect to get your deposit back! Not one cent instead expect to owe them something! I put in 5 (five) work orders for the central air/heating and they never fixed it I ended up having to buy window AC units and electric heaters and they have the nerve to try and charge me for it not working along with other damages that was previously documented on the "Move in inspection". My advice is to avoid them at all cost! All of the positive reviews are from home owners NOT TENANTS whom are renting! DO NOT RENT WITH THEM

These people are the worse. They dont even deserve one star! After renting through them for a year, I was able to see why so many other people complained. They don't respond to maintenance requests timely, which causes further property damage and then they try to take advantage of your security deposit to fix what they slacked on just to cover their ass!! They find the cheapest most unqualified people to do repairs to save money. I most certainly wouldn't recommend no one rent from them. I paid a high price for cheap service. Never again. I will be taking them to Court. I feel even more sorry for the owners of the property who are away and have put their trust in this trifling rental company.

I've rented from Holtzman on two occassions. My experiences has been great. The company is fair on updates, quick on responses, and aims to assist the tenants. The office atmosphere is nice and the staff's professionalism is superb. I enjoy renting from this company!

As a military service member it is hard to find someone that treats your property like their own. The Property Management Department at Holtzman Real Estate Services is top notch. They answer their email and return phone calls in a timely manner and take care of problems before they get out of control. They have also been helpful in making key decisions and providing sound advice. Special kudo's to Sandy Duggan who helped me find additional rental property.

As a tenant and landlord experience, I've had both very good experiences. I rented a home from them in 2011 and the Holtzman rep was very thorough did a walk through with me and we annotated everything that was wrong with the house before I moved in. After I moved out, I paid a professional house cleaner and did not have any issues. I later bought a home in the area and upon PCSing, used them to manage my property. They have been managing my property for over 2 years now, they have performed nothing but stellar. My property manager has always kept me informed, discussed with me issues that needed to be addressed and fixed, and it takes so much pressure off of me knowing they have things handled for me. I truly appreciate their professionalism and timeliness.

Mrs. McIntyre does a phenomenal job managing my property. She keeps me well informed of any issues and gets them rectified immediately. She is extremely professional and goes out of her way to ensure the BEST customer service you could ask for. As a active duty Soldier serving in Kuwait, I couldn't or wouldn't trust any one else to manage my property in my absence. I want to thank the Holtzman team for a job well done over the past 3 years and a special thanks to Mrs. McIntyre for taking great care of 15 Idus LN.
