Clean rooms, good coffee, great banana nut bread and donuts. The lady was very professional and we didn't get there tell two in the morning

While it is true the rooms are affordable and somewhat comfortable for one night, I was very displeased with the welcome received when I arrived with my sister. The lady in the office was ridiculously rude to the point I did not want to stay for the rest of the night. However we stayed - but I will be speaking with the owner who seems much more personable than the cranky woman who should be let go immediately. People drive for hours to visit and enjoy the beautiful upper peninsula and to receive a horrible greeting after a long drive is NOT stellar customer service. I will NOT be back here for my next visit to the UP - unless she is not an employee here. Family owned or not.

Warm and cozy, Grandma house feel to it. Pillows are in need of an upgrade, but other than that, has a welcoming atmosphere. Better than a chain motel.

Not great. We were told house cleaning would come each day of our stay, you wouldn't know they did. We were there 3 days and the bin was not emptied, beds weren't made and the bathroom was never cleaned, even on arrival it was not cleaned. The only way you would know that house cleaning had been was the 4 missing rings! Yep some of our valuables were stolen!!! so I would not recommend this motel to anybody!

Stopped here just for a moment because my baby was screaming. We were in the parking lot for max of 5 minutes and the lady came out yelling it was a private parking lot. With out a "no tresspassing" sign it was a completely legal stop. ridiculously rude lady.

Stayed here while remodeling our cabin. Didn't know what to expect. Very pleasantly surprised. Cute, very clean room with nice furniture, fridge and microwave. The price is very reasonable. I have stayed in way worse hotels and paid two to three times more. Highly recommend.

Spent a pleasant night at this motel. Nice clean room, comfortable bed, large flat screen TV, and free WiFi. A fridge and microwave that my sister and I took full advantage of. Friendly helpful owner. At the price of under $60 including tax was hard to beat. Would definitely recommend to budget concerned. Drive up and park right at your door. I would stay here again.
