The facility is nice and I love the jacuzzi tub in my room, but the staff was unexpectedly rude. The girl I made the reservation with over the phone was polite and accommodating; however, when I arrived at the hotel to check-in, the clerk was condescending and alluded to some impropriety in a "local girl" staying in the "jacuzzi room." My husband and I have been married for five years and have three kids, so when we're able, it's nice to get away, even just for a stay-cation. This clerk went out of his way to make me feel like I had done something inappropriate, and ruined the beginning of my night.
The next morning, my husband was concerned about bed bugs due to a few bites on his legs that had previously not been there. When he mentioned this to the morning clerk (so it could be checked and taken care of quickly if that's what it was) , he acted as of it was an inconvenience to be told and he couldn't care less.
Finally, I called the front desk a week after we stayed there because I was still seeing a double charge for the room on my bank account statement, and once again, the front desk clerk was discorteous. In an impatient tone, she said it was just a validation amount that would be refunded in 2-3 days. When I said it had been a week, she hastily said I need to contact my bank then and ended the call.
This treatment is not what I expect from any company offering customer service, but certainly not when I spent over $200 for a relaxing night out with my husband. Disappointedand still waiting for the validation amount to be refunded to my account. The service wasn't worth paying for once and certainly not twice.response / report this review -

I should really say it's a 5 star but maybe no one deserves this. I cannot put my hands on anything that they did wrong. We came for a conference and the check in even though it was a bus load of people. They handled it well and in a timely manner

Visually this place is amazing !!! The lobby is breathtaking .. fireplace oversized chairs glass elevators water fountains.. it feels as if you have walked into a five-star hotel on some Island.. the rooms are large contemporary and clean.. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because two different times I felt a little treated by the front desk.. everyone has a bad second or two and maybe I just caught one of them. One was just a smart sarcastic reply and one was of hesitance to assist.. outside of that everyone else was great I definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again

BE AWARE! This Hotel is below average to say the least. I arrived with my son after a long day and to our disappointment there was no hot water in the room and the toilet could not be flushed properly. We were forced to use fresh towels to freshen up before bed. The next morning during our check out we complained about the quality of the room. Two days later after several messages left for the manager I received a phone call. The manager was very impolite and sarcastic. The staff overall are very rude and unprofessional. Don't stay at this hotel you will be very disappointed.

Stayed here during hurricane Irma with my daughter, dog and 3 cats. I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. They went above and beyond to accommodate everyone that came even without a reservation!!! I made a reservation on Expedia and though it was confirmed, it was for the correct dates but in 2018!!! The management gave me a room anyway! Thank God because I had no gas and nowhere else to go! The gas stations were out of gas along I75 and all hotels were sold out!!! They had food in the am and pm and even provided complimentary lunches to go when people where leaving!!! The power went out but they had a generator. The staff was helpful and kind. They stayed in the banquet rooms overnight to help the guests fleeing from Irma. These guys have hearts of gold and have many blessings coming their way!!! Thanks so much for all the love and humanitarianism you showed all your guests!!!

I am handicapped and they helped us get our things to the rooms. The other gentleman in the other room is92 and also handicapped, the lady with us was so grateful for the help he gave us. We were very tired and scared about this storm. Thank you to your maintenance man what a nice man! I feel that Jay and chuck at this hotel went above and beyond there duties to help through this storm here in Ocala. They always had a smile and ready to help with anything. You have 2 great employees.hard to find now days. Please commend them they would be the ones I would want around if we have to seek shelter again! Thank you Jay and Chuck!

Wonderful location and the most comfortable beds! The staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. The only thing that the hotel did not have was continental breakfast, however, there is a restaurant you can order food from. Overall, this Holiday Inn is located around the mall and other restaurants, and was the best for an amazing nights sleep.

This hotel is great! Very nice decor and very nice staff. The rooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. The restaurant on the 6th floor was very nice and the food was great. The pool out side looks very nice although I didn't swim in it. Breakfast was good but the wait was way to long it took a good 45 min and we were the only ones there. Other than the breakfast restaurant, the hotel was wonderful.

Nicest Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. Nice decor, up to date rooms. Nice looking restaurant on the 6th floor, although I did not eat there. A lot of dining options close by.

We got a room for my really picky Dad and he loved it! Really clean and spacious, the manager was always available and wanted to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend! Thanks Jay!

Small rooms compared to other hotels. They push their breakfast as a full-service, menu driven, breakfastbut it's a buffet. Yes, there is a menu but the server said to just eat the buffet, it us a better deal. Breakfast wasn't fancy, but we only paid $5 for it. I recommend you go to Cracker Barrel just up the street. Nice lobby and sitting area. We had a double queen room, beds were comfortable. Rooms have a small keyring coffee pot and 4 coffee pods. The coffee was good. I would stay here again, but I certainly wouldn't pay their full price.
