Unfortunately was so displeased with my stay I am actually going to write a review that I wish was positive.
The hotel is undergoing extensive renovations and it would be nice if they would somehow alert you to that on IHG. The staff was friendly however I was not greeted as a Platinum Member (not a deal breaker) The room had allot of issues broken lamp shade, worn out finishes on the bathroom door and mirror to the point of looking nasty. No clock radio or clock in the room, air/heater unit would not stay on kept cutting out. Breakfast was ok, and the wireless slow. The pool was closed and drained but no one working on it? The 2nd floor construction was nice to wake up to at 8am when I really needed to sleep in a little from working late. It was right over my room awesome. Anyway, take your chances or move on down the road on this one. They may just want to close this place so they can bring it up to proper Holiday Inn standards quickly instead of doing a 1 year renovation!!!!! Good Luck
Great stay. I was comfortable in my room, the staff was attentive, pleasant, and welcoming, and the breakfast had extra touches beyong basic hotel amenities. You can tell the manager cares.
I'm a Platinum Member and stay at Holiday Inn Express on many occasions. The breakfast was very disappointing. The Wifi was slow. The building was very dated and had the style of a hospital. Didn't see much in the way of a staff. The girl at the desk was very indifferent. The office chair for the room wasn't right for the desk. Just not a place for a business stay. I gave it two stars because the place seemed clean.
We stayed at this location on Wednesday 10/11/17. The staff was friendly however our stay was not that impressive. We were told that the breakfast would be phenomenal with cinnamon rolls and blueberry muffins which was a reason we stayed and they did not have them. We also had trouble with the phones working and be able to reach the room. Our keys would not work most of the time and had to go get new keys. I have stayed at holiday inns across the country and have not ever had a bad experience until now. I Will not be staying at holiday inn again unless willing to correct the issue. I was bitten by a spider during my stay. One door did not work to come in or out. I Will be posting to social media about my experience to let my friends and family know about my experience.
Nice enough. In the middle of renovations. Breakfast was not good.
Charged us for a 2 king bed suite and have us a room with 1 king bed and a fold out couch. Room phone didn't work. Fold out bed didn't come with a blanket or sheet. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom.
We were well attended. The only reason for a 4 star and not a 5 was due to the lack of communication between staff caused us to rush our check out
Could not get myself to sleep/stay there. Left and will not go back
Would have done NO stars but unable to post without at least one
This hotel ruined my wedding night. If anyone is planning on using the hotel for a block of rooms for their wedding I would EXTREMELY SUGGEST you look elsewhere. On my wedding night we arrived to check in and they told us we did not have a room. I had confirmed the room 3 different times over the phone with various employees prior to our stay and had even asked to pay for the room twice prior and they told me it was not needed to reserve the room. I was promised our room would be waiting for us. After speaking with a manager over the phone I was given a room for free but in order to get the room we had originally been promised some of our wedding guests had to switch to a downgraded room. After they so graciously switched with us so we could have the better room that we were promised the hotel refused to comp them to the downgraded price! If we had known they were going to do that we never would have let them switch with us. If that wasn't enough, we had an extremely difficult time getting in touch with anyone during the time our guests were making reservations and they wouldn't hold our block anymore once it hit a month before the wedding. The rooms were clean but that was the only positive thing I have to say. Extremely disappointed that i'll always remember my wedding night as negative because of this hotel.
The Holiday Inn Express located in New Haven Indiana is the only place to stay. It is situated between two major freeways and provides plenty of parking spaces for both passenger cars as well as freight trucks. They provide a fantastic breakfast in the mornings and their cinnamon rolls are the best. I highly recommend choosing this location is you ever find yourself in town.
Decent room for the money. Breakfast was good.
It was ok, was a bit of a snafu with the room we booked but the customer service was amazing and made everything as right as they could. They were very friendly and helpful.
I stayed the night here February 25 2017. The hotel was clean and the room was as well. My husband and I had the Jacuzzi room for 178$ .. Everything was ok until we woke up at 4 am in a freezing room, turned the heat on and went back to bed. Woke up at 10 and was still freezing. I mean FREEZING I talked to the front desk and they told me there was nothing they could do, that somebody would call me
Did they call?? No . Was anything done? No.. Waste of 178$. Never again!
This place has really gone downhill. I have stayed many times in the last 8 years. The last year and a half it has been falling. Outside doors do not accept keycards. Breakfast was cold and food was terrible. Pool is closed due to ceiling having a big hole above it. Cleanliness is not good. President' s Day weekend was my last stay at this location. Stay away!
