The tale of Fairfield Inn & Suites. A rough beginning with a better ending. The first AM there I returned to my room after breakfast. The door lock broke. The AM manager was not at the front desk, and the maintenance man could not fix the door. He was finally able to get in after grabbing his computer. Needless to say I was late for my first day of training. As compensation the manager upgraded me to a suite. On return that PM, I find that my replacement suite had been given away. No big loss I really didn’t want to move. It was a bigger room that I really didn’t need. So I requested and received an upgraded internet connection instead. Sweet, except I had problems connecting everyday, which took about an hour to resolve. Plus I had a minor problem with the lights in the bathroom. If it wasn’t for the PM manager (Alison) I probably would have moved to a different hotel. Thank you Alison. The only reason why this hotel didn’t get a worse rating.

The staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean. All in all updated very nicely. Again the thin walls were my worst nightmare. Well nightmare is the wrong word because I could even sleep to have a nightmare. Lots of noise from the room next to me FaceTime'ing family. I heard every word of the conversation. All night there was activity from people coming in and out. I heard them all. Thin walls!

First I showed up and usually since I am a gold member I am greeted with a gift bag but not here.

    My room smelled like piss.

They charged about double what the other hotels were charging.

The hot tub wasn’t but about 80 degrees

The breakfast sucked bacon was burnt black and I would not have fed it to my dog

Since I was going to be staying in ft Wayne for more than two months I changed hotels quickly even though I am a gold member at Marriott

I went down the street and stayed in a hotel half the cost had a great breakfast, heated pool to 88 and hot tub at 104. Room was very clean and didn’t have to worry about my jacket with the silk lining getting cut up.

I am now a diamond member at this new hotel I stayed at and probably will never stay at another Marriott ever

Ps. I gave them one star because I had to

Very clean hotel and nice staff. Thin walls for sound. Would recommend staying on a higher floor. Pool is on first floor in the middle and tends to get loud in hallway.

Very nice place to stay. Beds are very comfortable. Common areas are very nice and attractive to a first time lodger. Rooms are a bit small, but the confort of the beds makes up for the lack of room size. Definitely will be staying here again.

Nice hotel in a good location in town. The entrance is from the shopping center, not from Lima St. Lobby and common areas are really good. The rooms could use some improvements.

Thin walls, could hear the people next to me talking and singing. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location drew me to this location. There was a dirty rag hanging over my shower. Noticed when I got in. Overall, a typical hotel experience.

Was not a fan of the beds or the television. There was mo channel guide and half of the channels didn't come in fully. The beds were too soft. It flet like i was being swallowd up.

This was out 2nd gear staying here for the Vera Bradley Outlet sale. Checking in was a long, drawn out, 20 min ordeal. It was made way harder then it needed to be. We finally got our key and our room. The room was extremely small and packed full of furniture. There was 6 inches between the dresser and the wall to walk through to get to the bed. I bumped into the dresser and the wall multiple times during my stay. Also the coffee maker was in the bathroom. I find that odd and gross. The room was clean however with a well working AC unit. I just felt crammed in a tiny box. We will be looking for somewhere else next year. There are way to many options in Fort Wayne for me to deal with inconveniences.

The room was fairly cheap (price wise) and recently updated. We got a king size bed there was just enough room to fit a chair in the room and 2 night stands. Other than that there was the TV, it had ESPN, HBO, plenty of news (assuming you don't get this from your phone already), local channels, and the history channel. Plenty of food options nearby on Lima, Washington Center, or even Colesseum and it's located not far from the mall or Jefferson Point.

It drives me CRAZY when the HVAC units are not configured to allow the fan to stay in the "ON" position. It makes white noise which allows me to sleep better. Further, when the unit kicks on it makes so much noise that it wakes me up.
