Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have specialized in small animals and birds (including chickens) for many years. If you are new to keeping small animals I highly recommend a visit for expert assistance.

This is my absolute favorite animal care store. Get my dog and rats' food here. Also the only rat breeder I trust. The boys I've gotten from here are very healthy, resilient and friendly. Very unlike mill rats from chain stores. And the entire staff is incredibly friendly and full of awesome advice!

Hohls is a Bellingham gem. Their staffs' experience with song birds, chickens, and small animals is so beneficial to the community. Locally owned with fair prices. For several years, we've gotten our baby chicks here -- plus chicken supplies and food, cat food, seeds and more. The staff has always been great -- very knowledgeable and helpful. And it's fun for the kids to see what animals they have!

I find the best brands of healthy, local dog food here. My dog tires of her food easily, so I have to switch it up a lot and Hohl's offers a good variety to choose from.
I recently bought a hand raised baby cockatiel from the lady who works here. He (?) is adorable and sweet and friendly. I had his first check up at the vet and he is very healthy. He has a pleasant personality and just chirps and loves to have his cheeks massaged. I will be buying another bird from her soon.
