  Have camped here twice, it is a beautiful rustic campground with many water front sites. You are lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves of Lake Michigan. There is a small bay/cove, where the water is shallow and warm for swimming.

  Great rustic little campground. There's only about 40-50 sites here, and they are first-come first-serve basis - and a vehicle recreation passport is required for entry (although there is nobody around to enforce). The grounds as a whole are "self serve" which means there are no staff on hand to take your money. You go to the check in station and drop your cash / check into the slot after filing out paperwork for the campsite you want (that's available).
  The sites are pretty spread out, and you'll find the those along the waterfront (edges) fill up first. The views from coast are awesome, and you'll be in for some great sunrises / sunsets depending on when you visit.
  Being a rustic campground, know that is no power available, and no showers. Restrooms are "pit toilets" and there's a few wells around for you to get water.
  Go in knowing what you're getting and not getting. We knew this going in, but couldn't give 5 star rating because of the bathrooms - the smell was so bad it almost burned your nose and really made your eyes water. They either need to pump them out more often or improve the ventilation / vent-tubes a bit. It was pretty bad - and we're used to outdoor pit toilets, as we have one at our cabin.

  Campsites are wooded, with some trees between sites. Several sites along Lake Michigan.
