They have a disco ball shaped like a torso.
What is not to love??
In all reality, this place can get cramped easy. The seating area never seems to have enough seats (unless you count the deck)
The drinks are well priced.
Sometimes the entertainment is actually awful.

Came from tampa , florida just to see traxx, we both are from Michigan, but been living in Tampa for the last 20 years, we are moving back to northern michigan, the waiter is very nice besides being polite and good looking

Fun casual spot in TC! We were there on Wednesday night for kareoke, the crowd was small but we had a blast. And my fiancé made an ass of himself because he was singing a Spanish song that is English "is all they have" 😂😂😂

Checked out the local gay scene and was told this was the place to go. There was a cover, not really sure what for. Did not feel like an LGBT place, it was 90% straight girls, which is fine, but the few guys they brought were literally mocking gay men and being rude. For a bar it's fine (2, maybe 3 stars?), for a gay bar it's a definite one star place.

Walked in sat at a table, after 10 mins no one greeted us and the bar tender seem to care about the TV more than selling alcohol. We left 5-24-2017 10:40 pm.

Super fun! Didn't seem to warrant a cover, but great music and dancing, chill people, as well as well-priced drinks (ask for the specials - they weren't posted but were great!). Bathrooms need major work - I'm a small woman and could barely fit in the stall!

Went to TC this weekend and we always like to check out the gay bar/club scene when we travel to see how it differs from our hometown. Now, Grand Rapids is still a pretty conservative place in my opinion, right in the bible belt of Michigan, and we experience a fair amount of discrimination, but there are a couple of places we can go where we always feel safe and accepted. Sidetraxx, who advertise themselves as a gay bar, is not a place where someone who is outwardly gay or that does not conform to gender norms will feel safe. The LGBT crew there last night made up maybe 10% of the patrons. We befriended some ladies that are native to the area, and found that this was not just a fluke. It is a place where straight folk go to dance because it has an amazing dance floor and music videos played throughout the bar. Now, I am not saying that straight folk are not allowed to go to gay bars, but they must respect that gay bars are supposed to be our safe place. Our place to be us. Our true selves, without the threat of discrimination or a hate crime. In talking to these natives, we also learned that this bar is the ONLY establishment that advertises itself as a gay bar in the area. This to me, is an injustice and should be addressed. Overall, I give Sidetraxx one star, and this is ONLY because of how amazing the bartender was and how sweet the door person was. Get some pride TC! Get some!

TERRIBLE SERVICE. We went to SideTraxx this weekend with a Bachelorette Party. Not only was the bouncer INCREDIBLY RUDE, but the manager was completely unwilling to work with us on cover (which was $5/person, pretty high for Northern Michigan). We would have willingly stayed there all night and were ready to spend hundreds on drinks. After the terrible service we got at the door, we left after 45 minutes. This bar needs to adjust their attitude!
