Nice little park with a tennis court and something you rarely see anymore a handball court! Has some nice touches with a gazebo and a little waterfall that from what I can tell is only running during the summer. But with benches to enjoy the view
If you lucky enough to nab a camping site 9 months in advance you are lucky. Located at the east end on 1500 plus nature preserve the sites are steps from the beach.
I've stayed here a couple of times now. Not normally a beach type, but its a great place to tent camp and use as a base for some longer flat, windy cycling. Plenty of good road and gravel tracks around if you know where to look.
Cjecked out camping and picnic areas - great spots right near the beach. Lots of hunters and fishermen in the late season. Camping ends in late November. Hiking accessed from outside park, according to person in park office.
State campground is very nice and clean with wide space in between each other and next to the beach. Basically there is not much else to do in the area. All clamming and crabbing are for local residents only even with permit. Sadly stayed one night instead of three.
Love this place for camping and surf casting but it has been harder and harder to get a campsite. Was at the new J loop which is tent only, definitely has a some pros, great view, no campers and so far newer bathrooms and showers. Cons, a longer trek to the beach but not a horrible one.
I absolutely love Hither Hills! Glamping at its finest! The bathrooms are beautiful and newly renovated and the grounds are breath taking, especially at night under a full moon. A perfect place for the family or two people in love.
It's a great beach but that little shack where they make food is a rip off they charged me $9 for two pieces of bread two paper sliced tomatoes, a few pieces of lettuce and very thin bacon. It wasn't always like that, must be new management. Worst BLT I ever had!
An amazing place to camp. It's a mostly typical site with spaces for people to park and set up their tents. But the real draw is the beach. It's huge with perfect white sand and it's almost completely empty since only people from the campsite seem to access this portion. The water is always on the cold side but feels great after you've been in the hot sun!
Nice view of the Atlantic, campites are okay but too close
Wow! What a weekend of camping. Beautiful shower and bathrooms too!
Beautiful scenery with clean facilities and good parking. Camp ground also in park.
I went camping here with my dad. It was great. The campsites we were on were open campsites, so we could see twenty of our neighbors, almost like a parking lot. We backed our SUV into the campsite set up our barbecue and were good to go for the weekend.
Perfect place to get lost on the Atlantic Ocean. Very quiet even the restrooms were closed for winter. We had the pleasure of seeing the sunset here!
