The house was 5 stars-had a great stay. We had an issue at the end that we asked the agents to help us with but both men that were called ignored our request-seemed disinterested. Disappointing as a management company.
My husband and I rented a condo through Hilton Head Hideaways in May, 2017. The condo was definitely the worst place we have ever rented. The floors had a lot sand down stairs and stairway and upstairs had a lot of stains. The condo smelled like urine and had a lot of dog hair or pet hair. The sofa cushions would not stay up on the back area if the sofa, therefore you could not sit on the sofa. The beach chairs were Sandy and dirty and wet on the back porch. The bicycles had soiled puppy pads or dog pads in the front baskets. The refrigerator did not cool the first two days, so our milk and groceries had to be thrown out. The air conditioning in the condo automatically turned itself back to 80 degrees at 6:00 in the evening when we came in to shower to go out to dinner the condo was miserably hot and 90 degrees. Construction coming and going out of the condo area caused damage to our vehicle and was flooded every day. Also caused a bicycle accident with my wife and we left to go home several days early. We were offered a full refund from Management Travis Gibbons for our vacation partial miserable trip there and have not received it yet. We are still awaiting our refund but it appears we will have to sue this company to be rewarded. This is not a company we would recommend and also appears to be a bad management company. We stayed in a Hilton Head Hideaway condo on our trip to Hilton Head over Easter Week. The condo was exactly as described and the pictures were accurate. Check in process was very easy. We had a great time.
I relocated to Hilton Head and needed a temporary place to stay for a couple of months to give me time to find the exact area and location that I desired for my employment schedule. I was able to rent #234 at the Breakers for two months It is gorgeously decorated with granite, tile floors and all of the essentials of home. Not to mention the view and location.
We thank you for your feedback Mrs. Sharma, it is unfortunate that occasionally situations arise where villas become unrentable for various reasons. Due to the last minute nature of your booking, this made it difficult to find substitute accomodations. Most renters book much farther in advance, and this significantly lowers the chances of situations like this occurring.
I found one of their properties on VRBO and requested to see if it was available and the cost. I was informed it was and to book it on their online registration site. I made my reservation 3 weeks prior to our trip. 10 days prior to my trip I was informed by their general manager that the property was unavailable. When I asked if he had any alternatives given the late cancellation on their part he replayed "they are a small company and they have nothing to offer". I have used VRBO several times and this was the first time that this has happened to me. All I can suggest is Beware or you could be homeless also.
