I love everything about this place. I've been a seasonal since I was little and I can't imagine not coming up pretty much every weekend. This is my summer home.
My family and I have been coming to Hideaway since 1992, Dan, sandy, and Ron and all the rest of the staff have always been great to work with, they go out of their way to get us a lot and have made huge improvements over the years. I would highly recommend the campground to anybody who wants to have a great time. Thanks for all you done for us over the years, Ken King & family.
Nice campground with big playground for kids. I'm just not liking that it cost to even visit someone camping there. 🙁
Great pool, great employees, poor camp ground. No pavement, sites not well marked, 1 good bathroom.
Our favorite place to go camping! They are ALWAYS willing to accommodate our crazy schedule. We have been coming here for so many years and this year our children get to bring their children.
I am one happy camping grandma!
Thank you Hideaway for all of our camping memories!!
I have family that goes here every year.
Nice for what it is. PACKED on the major holidays. Lots of kids. Lots of high powered jeeps and 4x4s in and out.
If it is the top of your price range… you probably won't find better in the silver lake area.
Shady, great campsites, pool, clean restroom/showers. Great people, well stocked store that serves food etc
Very nice place . Real friendly staff. Bathrooms where halfway decent and clean..
Great place to camp. Hot showers, laundry, restaurant, happy staff! The campground is within walking distance to Silver Lake and Lake Michigan.
My family has stayed here for at least 10 years. We love the campground. Bathrooms are amazing. Staff is amazing. Great wooded sites. Nice quiet nights for sleeping cuz fire is out at a reasonable time. No kids partying all night keeping us up. We can bring our dog along.were here to drive the dunes not party all night. Love you hideaway and all your staff. See you soon
This campground is beautifully kept up. The lakefront is absolutely gorgeous. The lake is full of bream and bluegill which grab your hook almost before it hits the water. The sites are level and clean, the connections in good repair. The proprietors don't put up with any shenanigans and it is quiet at night. There are a number of seasonal residents, and it is plain that a lot of the campers have been there for many years, but even the most antique park model is immaculately kept up. There was an issue with the electricity on our last night; the whole camp lost power, but it was evidently a problem with the city utilities, as there was a truck and work crew out there promptly. We arrived planning to spend a day or two, but we liked it so much we stayed a whole week!
