Very large rooms with a beautiful lake view. Fire pit by the water. Very homey.

BEST lodge on the chain. We always get a room facing the water. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Complimentary breakfast (bagels, cinnamon roles, coffee and tea, hard boiled eggs, juice, apples) present everyday. Rustic theme architecture and decor is beautiful. The most sweet, loving pup is always around and LOVES to be pet! Will stay here every single time I'm in the North Woods!

Short version: comfortable, friendly, and priced right. You can't go wrong staying here.

This is almost a classic motel, but rooms are accessible from an interior hallway. When booking, first realize that this is not the Ritz Carlton. You may see 2 or 2.5 star quality on a hotel site, but that's not indicative of our experience. Yes, the building is a bit older. Yes, noise can travel easily in the building. However, the rooms are spacious, and at night, it has always been very quiet. The room temperature was comfortable in the middle of high summer, and it was easy to sleep here. The owners are very friendly, and they have some lovable dogs, too. Continental breakfast is about what you'd expect for an affordable hotel such as this, nothing spectacular. That said, for the price, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay. We've stayed here on a few occasions, and always check if it has vacancy when we visit Eagle River. We recommend this hotel.

The owners are very nice and the hotel is nice! They provided fresh donuts for the continental breakfast on Easter morning even! The beds were a little too soft for me, but that is my only complaint.

We will definitely come back. Our stay here was great. We were warmly welcomed and treated like friends. It felt very homey with doggy Basil greeting us as we came and went. The room was spacious and clean and had the most comfortable bed outside of our own. Great view of Duck Lake and the fall colors from our window. Wish we were still there.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights on a Upper Peninsula road trip that we took last week. The rates of the hotel were by far less than those in the close Minocqua area (which is very tourist-y) and the location was just perfect in Eagle River.

The room was very clean and we were conveniently located in a room close to the lobby so we could pull our car up right outside our room. The owners were very warm and friendly at check in (as well as their sweet Boxer, Basil)! The room was easily big enough for several air mattresses and had a pull-out futon, the rooms are HUGE!!

We spoke with the owners for awhile both dates that we stayed here and they were incredibly friendly. The second night that we stayed here, we used the downstairs home theater and it was just AWESOME! Make sure that you take advantage of their gigantic movie collection, the sound system is just out of this world!! Would definitely recommend, very clean and quiet!
