My future daughter in law was treated so badly she left in tears. We had a whole entourage wearing t-shirts looking forward to the big day. We saw this place advertised the largest selection of plus size gowns. That is why we made the appointment and 2 hour trek to this place.
She was told right in front of us “We aren’t going to have anything in ((your)) size.” She told the elderly woman but I called and you guys told me you have a huge selection. She said you are welcome to look if you want. No one bothered to help us or anything. When the tears started flowing we got out quickly. A nervous bride to be excited to look for her beautiful dress had her dreams crushed. This rude lady should not be allowed anywhere near the public. Why would a store let someone work there and treat people like that? It says a lot about that business.
Truly don’t understand how this place is in business.
They are NOT size inclusive. It smells like cats and the stylists/consultants are very rude/mean. Comments were made about my size, I was squeezed into size 10 dresses after them claiming they had the largest selection of plus size gowns. They had none. Literally zero plus size gowns with sparkle. Horrible experience. Don’t waste your time. I went down the street and spent my 4K elsewhere. I was also told I couldn’t try on a dress because it was 5K dollars. Nice to assume someone won’t or can’t pay for something. Their loss.
Would not recommend coming here. Added so much unnecessary stress to my wedding day. Trying on dresses and buying it is the easy part. Actually getting it is the problem.
Like multiple other reviews you’ll see on here, I had my appointment to pickup my dress cancelled not once, but twice. The second time they cancelled even though they confirmed my appointment a few days before. Both times they let me know they were cancelling my appointment right before the shop closed so I couldn’t immediately contact someone. They gave different excuses for why the dress is delayed. To be fair, the ladies working here are kind, but it seems like the actual owner doesn’t know how to run a business.
They offered free alterations which I wish I hadn’t accepted. I came to pick up my dress and the seamstress was still cutting my dress while it was on me and then i was told to wait while she quickly hemmed it. The hem had threads coming out of it and overall looked like she did it in a rush (because she did). Since I don’t live nearby and didn’t have time to have it redone, it had to work but now that my big day is over, I will be getting it redone somewhere else. There was also a part of my dress that looks like it had been cut to add one of the buttons for my bustle. This is the most important and expensive dress I will wear and it was treated like it was nothing.
The best place to find the perfect dress! I found my dream dress with Angela, she made it so easy and fun! I ordered my Badgley Mischka dress only 6 months before my wedding as a rush order. I was so nervous about having time for my gown to be altered. My dress arrived just one week before my February 23rd wedding. They got me in right away. Once meeting with Bertha (the sweetest woman) I was so at ease. She is SO TALENTED and was able to customize my gown and all of the normal tailoring in just 3 fittings. The bustle of my gown was 22 beautiful buttons and was not bulky at all, even though my dress had the longest train. They even steamed my gown before I picked it up. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, HCTB you Ladies are the best!
If I could give negative stars I would! After my experience I don’t understand how this dress shop is still in business. They are rude once they get your money, they have cats in their store running around, and blame the customer for their mistakes. My experience is a long read but I feel the need to share to hopefully prevent others from experiencing this too.
My first appointment when I found my dress went fine. I found the dress I loved, ordered it, and paid a rush fee. A month goes by and I call for an update, they said it wasn’t scheduled to ship until after my wedding date but they would see what they could do. From the sound of it, it didn’t seem like they had even ordered the dress yet because “only a manager can give updates.” Another month goes by, and luckily it was scheduled to come a month before my wedding. It finally comes in, I go to my first fitting and the dress was WAY too big. They first blamed me for losing weight. But it had only been 4 months and I haven’t fluctuated in weight in YEARS, so I told them there wasn’t any way I had lost weight. They finally admitted the dress was ordered 2 sizes too big and offered a discount on alterations. I went with that, but it took numerous appointments to get it fixed. I spent double the amount of time going to fitting appointments than I should have, which could have been avoided if they had ordered the right size. Their only saving grace was that the seamstress they contract out was very good at her job. I finally picked it up a week before my wedding, I open it up and there’s holes in the top layer of tulle which looked exactly like a CAT had scratched it. The owner first blamed me for zipping up the dress in the bag. I told her I couldn’t have because the front of the dress was facing me when I opened the bag and the holes were in the back. Every time I’d speak up and say something she had an excuse or acted confused. I have a feeling she knew exactly what happened but didn’t want to admit it.
Overall, this dress shop causes a lot of unnecessary stress which isn’t needed when planning a wedding. I highly encourage brides to avoid this dress shop and go elsewhere. It’s not worth the headache!!
