We love our National Parks, Monuments and Historis Sites! We can't get enough. Although we've only visited about 175 of them, we keep visiting new ones and can't wait for the next one.

It is a nice place to learn about President Hoover's life in this small town. The movie in the museum/library offers a good introduction especially in Hoover's lifelong humanitarian work. The site located conveniently on I80. It is a good place to take a rest as well.

The tiny cabin where Herbert Hoover was born and his father's blacksmith shop across the street are definitely worth a visit. The nearby presidential library has a superb series of diorama exhibits that really encapsulate his early years in a truly memorable fashion. It is must see stuff.

A hidden gem of Iowa and the United States! The Herbert Hoover Presidential Library does an excellent job educating everyone about President Hoover and his contributions to our country. I HIGHLY recommend everyone to take the time in life to visit, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Great informational videos. There is a gift shop. The outdoor area is beautiful and great for a picnic or walk. This is a good place to bring people of all ages for a fun afternoon of learning.

Every school age child should go through this museum, so history will not repeat itself. Hoover was a great humanitarian and through the Hoover commissions set the powers of the office of president as we see it today. Wished they had more on these commissions.

I believe this museum depicts the broad spectrum on Hoover's life. It gave us view points that we had not known or considered. We really enjoyed seeing his childhood home and his father's blacksmiths shop.

Was very nice and quiet, beautiful buildings, Schoolhouse, Church, Him and his wife's Gravesite, Birthplace, Visitor Center, and my favorite was the Blacksmith shop and all the tools. They also have the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum. The statue of Isis and lots more, good for all ages.

Love this Presidential Library. If you have a chance, see it in conjunction with the West Branch Christmas celebration. Christmas tree display in the main library and free demonstrations at the blacksmith shop, carriage rides and free admition to the historical buildings. Quaint and high quality family time!.

I loved visiting the Hoover Museum! It was fantastic. And the price of admission was actually fair. The gift shop was a little pricey but that didn't stop me. The man at the ticket counter was very friendly, and we had an enjoyable time. They also had an exhibit of Route 66 that was interesting.

Wonderful museum. Lovely grounds. Check out their rotating exhibits. Also, it's fun to pack a picnic and eat outside there. During the warmer months, they have rangers give tours outdoors as well as a blacksmith working in the shop. Hoover days are usually in August and have a wide assortment of events to check out.

My daughter and I enjoyed our visit to Herbert Hoover National Historic Site, where we learned about a man who doesn't get enough credit--and gets perhaps too much of the blame for the Great Depression. We took a self-guided tour through the grounds, where we saw his early home, his church, and his school. My daughter liked earning her Junior Ranger badge. The rangers and volunteers were very helpful in answering our questions.
