They have some big fish in this lake. Go check them out by the dining area they like to hang out there. Nice swimming area for the kids as well. Go check out Austin's for food after.

First time there. Beautiful park. Walked around the lake. Upon driving in we saw a large coyote exit and cross the main road into the subdivision across the street. Be aware if you bring a small dog.

Love the trail, and the scenery in the fall is just fantastic. I love this trail in any season. Required to pay a $10 fee if you are not a residence, but worth it once you see how well the park/trail are maintained.

This place is really neat! We came across it while biking. There are separate paths for walkers/ runners and bikers. Lots of picnic tables, good restroom facilities and beautiful ponds. We'll definitely come back!

A great place to go for a day off with the family or for Holiday outings. The many bike trails make for great sight seeing and exercise options. The trails snake around the lake and through the many wooded areas allowing the opportunity see the native wildlife.

The man made lake is also a fun option. They offer different types of boat rentals at this location as well. Peddle boats, row boats, and fishing boats are most common. They also sell fishing equipment at the rental house. The lake is catch and release and is well stocked with everything from pan fish to large mouth bass and other trophy predator fish. There is also a swimming section.

Grilling out is a common practice although few on site grills are provided. Alcohol is also permitted so long as you clean up after yourself and do not incite disorderly behaviour.

Overall a great place to relax.

Great for family or alone time. Nice trail for biking or running/jogging/walking. Great water activities. My husband and I love renting their kayak, doesn't cost much either. Sunsets are beautiful to watch.

Beautiful place, beautiful water, boating and trails around it. Great options for activities, boat rental, bike rental, fishing, swimming beach etc. I wasn't happy that it costs $10 per car if you aren't a Lake County resident. Only $5 on weekdays but I probably won't get there other than a Sunday. Also we really went to fish and they require you to throw everything back which was a disappointment as well.

Wonderful place to hike, bike ride or cross country skiing or to go to the beach. Great park for the kids and you can rent various boats. And there is a restaurant, if there was a hotel it would be a resort.

    Great place!

Serene, peaceful and beautiful year round. They have some summer activities such as biking, canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle as well as fishing. Rentals are very affordably priced. Great for a short/ weekend family outing. Plenty of space to picnic, walk or play volleyball. Park is connected to the Des Plaines river trail. Dogs and horses are not allowed.
