Had to pay a parking fee! However this is the cleanest and prettiest beach Ive ever been to. I've lived near Myrtle beach (South Carolina) and Coronado Beach (San Diego) and neither compare to this BEAUTIFUL and peaceful atmosphere. The sand looks artificial and the water was so pretty and blue.

Clean facilities. Several pavilions lining the beach, with grills & picnic tables, out door shower & restrooms. Absolutely stunning crystal clear water with a gradient turquoise color. White sugar sand beach. They have pop up Sunday service @ the far right pavilion right on the beach. They even provide chairs.

Absolutely beautiful! But I wish there were more places available to allow pets especially dogs to get on the beach. Water is breathtaking! It was my first time to see any ocean and I decided to get married here while on vacation from Oklahoma! No regrets!

Beautiful nature trail walk inside the park that has one of the very few hills in this part of Florida. My dog's favorite hike.
The facilities are very clean. There are outdoor freshwater showers. Dogs aren't allowed on the beach. The stretch at the east of the park is the least crowded and the best fishing. You're not allowed to fish between the boardwalks, and there are usually crowds to the west of the park.report this review -

This is a picturesque sea beach on the shore of Gulf of Mexico, just perfect for a vacation with friends/ family. The water is emerald colored and super clean with white sand beach. The beach was clean and the restroom, outdoor shower, parking facility was all
Perfect. The state park has an entrance fee. I did not see any coast guard on duty there, however saw helicopters probably doing surveillance over head. There are ample options for good food and drink within a mile. I would definitely recommend this for short vacation, and I would return again.report this review -

Loved this State Park
Never ending hot water in the showers.
Short walk to the beach(beautiful white sand) but we found out taking the car to the beach was the best for us.
Nice restaurants just outside the front gate with plenty of shopping close by.report this review -

Awesome is the word! We went as a family with elders and kids. Its a perfect beach for family fun. I'm not sure if I can enjoy this beach on a hot sunny day. But on the day we visited the weather was just perfect for beaches in FL. We spent almost 4 hours in the water. Played sand ball fights, dug the sand, built castles, rested and fought the waves again and again and again till we were all exhausted! It was such FUN

Nice campsites. Plenty of space between spots. Beach is very nice. The campground has it's own beach which is accessed from a trail by the bathhouse via a walk. We found it easier to drive to the public beach with all of the gear we were carrying

Beautiful and clean beach! Parking was close and easy. On the day i went the water was clear emerald green and calm. I had no trouble finding a spot to chill by the water because it was not crowed at all. I will definitely visit again!

Beautiful breath taking views. Grills under the huge pavilions, play area for the kids. Gorgeous sunset. Blue green waters! Worth the visit water conditions change daily. Wonderful and helpful volunteers!

With all the limitations on beach access where we stayed in Destin for private land for resorts and even limited parking at public access lots, this park was an awesome way to have a great day at the beach. It was $6 for our car of 4 people for the day. They have restrooms and showers at the beach access points. The water was calm with 1-2 Ft waves, no white caps, and the occasional larger wave, so overall our 10-12 yo kids were not overwhelmed with fighting waves all day. A really great couple of days at the beach for us after a local told us to go here.

Loved this beach - extremely clean, white sand, green waters! It wasn't crowded when we visited in mid-March. Would definitely come again. Just to clarify, there isn't any boardwalk here, just beautiful sand and water!

Fee to get in is very reasonable. The beach was clean and with us getting there early it was very quiet. The water is very clear in the mornings and gets a little cloudy as the tide comes in. Overall a good beach with good facilities. Parking was always plentiful and the ramp to the beach is well maitained.

Really enjoyed Henderson Beachnice and clean and loved the fact there is a area for grilling. Family Beach for sure! Plus they have accessible beach wheelchairs for the disabled.
