Had a nice time here at a birthday party for a good friend and a large party, which was well-hosted by the staff and plenty of space in the rear of the bar/restaurant.

Great selection and some truly unique mixed drinks to choose from, however, make sure that you ask for prices because they won't be forthright with it and DON"T price their on-tap menu!! I had a single draft that ran me 10$ which is outrageous!!! Make sure you try to make it when the $5 menu is happening (*and that you buy a drink to get that price!!*) so that you save some $$$, as this should help, (and is probably why they don't price their beer list so they can make a bit of money on fools like me!).

I wouldn't say no to making a trip back with friends, but definitely would need them to tell me pricing!! Parking is also a pain since it's so close to all the campus stuff for Pitt., a bit of a run-down inside and of course, all the college scene haha)

Hemingway's is a good college bar and serves its purpose well. The food isn't spectacular, but they make up for it with a host of drink options and great staff. Definitely a great place to celebrate a Pitt victory.

A student friendly pub in Upitt campus. This place always has life and the hostesses are really friendly.
They have happy hour food options after 9pm. They would actually suggest you to wait for a few minutes before ordering if you reach a little before 9.

Standard college sports bar. Sometimes smells funny (like feet; and mensroom has overpowering bleach smell). Some really cheap beer specials, decent beer selection otherwise. Waitstaff are consistently sub par. Food is surprisingly good, at a solid price (lunch special is a great deal). Their pizza is some of the best I've had anywhere. Packed to the brim with people on weekends.

Oh the fries here !!! They are amongst the best. And the beer options, are amazing. Also they serve drinks named after college crowds that they attract which is a nice touch. Drop in here on Thursdays after 10 and they have a 50 off on everything which is kinda the best thing you can ask for.

$5 meal times 11a-12p, 2-4p and 9p-12a, I think where can you go wrong?
Had the Raspberry Cider, it was a nice hard cider.

Ah, Hems. Perhaps I love it so much because of college memories, but it is a great place to get lunch or happy hour. I actively avoid it outside of those times because, well, college students, but you can't beat their prices.

The shot pitchers are a must try. Daily deals makes drinking here an economic choice as well. Food is delicious at all times of the day. Note that people under 21 are allowed to dine up front earlier in the day/evening

Cheap beer, cheap lunch deals, good atmosphere (during lunch hours atleast) with a staff that is constantly there to make sure everything is going well. And that is why myself, and band of Geology mates will continue frequenting this wonderful establishment. You guys rock.

Fun shot pitches, tasty bar food; what's not to like about this place? Well the servers aren't always the most attentive but after one or two shot pitches you sort of forgive this fact. I go here on the weekends and love the Jaguar Burger.
