  I live nearby. This low swampy area is accessible by truck down FR100 but it is best to walk there from FR102. If there is anywhere in the Chequamegon that is more dismal than this dismal swamp I would like to see it: huge hemlocks galore. Down the Ice Age Trail to CTH M the forest canopy prevents much forest floor growth: dark and foreboding. Right out of Fantasia. Lots and lots of bugs. The attached photo is walking in from FR102 south of the intersection with the Ice Age Trail.
