Fantastic golf course. It will be a great loss to the area since it will be making way for housing. Played my last 27 holes in Nov 2017 and it now history.

Beautiful golf course. We always golf as a group of ladies - and they always try to accommodate us. Great views, great course and nice people. But oh no - they are closing!! Bah humbug.

Played 3.15.17 and the course was in poor condition. Some interesting holes but it seems there is no one managing the course maintenance. Can not recommend this one.

Golf courses are generally judged on three things - layout, maintenance, and customer service. Heather Glen's course layout ranked mediocre, the maintenance sub-par but the customer service was the nail in the coffin at down right rude and the definition of indifferent. So lackadaisical, I am taking the time out to write a review - which I never do. With a group of 14 golfers with varied handicaps between 10- 18 we selected Heather Glen as an off the beaten track round out to an otherwise stellar, week long golf trip. After our 10 handicappers were accused by the ranger and the water boy for playing too slowly while waiting on the tee boxes behind incredulously slow foursomes in front of us at up to 5 minutes per hole, we arrived to the clubhouse to a bartender who welcomed us with, "How many of you are there because I'm closing early." Southern hospitality is dead at Heather Glen - best to spend your time and money at a better managed course!
