Easy To Get To Soda Machine. However Don't Call On Saturday No One Answers The Phone!
I had visited a resident for years and have noticed that over the past year things have gone down in the quality of care. I tried to to tell my friend just ignore staff and be easy going because these are the people taking care of your loved one in your absence. I even ignored the ridiculously strong odor of urine once you hit the main hallway. Then staff actually mistreated me as a visitor. I am African and my friend is African American and it is clear to me that no one of color should now permit their family member to be in one of these facilities. Residents are treated like prisoners in correctional institutions and have their basic rights violated on a daily basis. Several residents have had their property misappropriated by nurses. The facility is run like a concentration or refugee camp. If family members contact Adult Protective Services or Department of Health the facility retaliates against the complainer. ODH only is concerned with white residents anyway. To be fair In my next life if I come back as white or other type of person I would consider one of their newer facilities that is why the 1 star. Being black this is no place to put someone you care about. I cant believe how America gives so little regard to the care of the elderly. In Africa we keep our elder relatives at home and feed and attend to them. Here you pay a facility and they barely do either.
Not helpful at all. They enjoy making up lies, not telling the truth. Some of the nurses and aids are helpful.
