Cleanest hotel ever, clean rooms, friendly staff. Comfortable beds, hot breakfast. You can tell the people that work here take pride in what they're doing!
The rooms were nice and clean it's a nice facility. Personnel were all very friendly and helpful. I forgot my GPS and the cleaning lady brought it out just as I was about to leave which was very accommodating and thoughtful.
Great hotel. The beds are the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. Rooms are large and very clean. The whole place smells really good. The pool area was awesome and very clean. Water was a little cold though. If we ever come back this way I will definitely stay here again.
Very nice room. Pool and bar. Good breakfast also. Would stay again anytime!
Tried this out for saving cost on business travel. The walls were pretty thin, so kids running around kept me up most nights who were staying next door. Expect to hear any and all noise from the hallway as well. Bathroom towels were dirty, and one even had blood on it even after being washed. Bathroom itself was clean however, which was a positive thing. Bed was dirty and had lots of hair all over it from previous guest, so I went and bought my own sheets to use on the bed, and used my own blanket and pillow. I also checked the mattress for bugs, and saw even more dirtiness and hair that hadn't been touched for cleaning in a long time, so that really bothered me as well. The staff were very friendly I will say though, which was probably one of the only positive notes. I won't be returning for another stay here though on future visits.
I didn't personally stay here, but when my family comes in from out of state they always stay at this hotel. Hotel is clean, smells fresh, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. They have also stayed at a couple other hotels in the area, but told me they will always choose Hawthorne Suites from now on and would recommend it to others.
Decent hotel. Clean. Nice fitness room and pool. Litter bar and some slots. Next to nothing except the highway.
We were surprised to see how spacious and well furnished our room was -- and how affordable! We've paid more for hotel rooms, but never had one so big. It had a full fridge and stove, too, so we could have stayed comfortably for quite a few nights. The kids loved the pool, too. We booked it based on a Google search while we were already en route, but next time, we'd seek it out.
Hotel had a great location that was easy to find off the interstate. The room had a nice layout and was quiet and comfortable. Unfortunately, the blackout curtains did not cover the whole windows, which meant it got really bright as soon as the sun came up. It made it very difficult to sleep when the sun was up. Hot breakfast had plenty of delicious options. They had eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and sausage, along fruit, cereal, and assorted breads while we were there. The pool was probably great, although there was never a time that there weren't too many rowdy kids in the water (including, but not limited to, all the way up to closing time and first thing in the morning). Constantly getting splashed by someone else's kids (while their parents were nowhere to be found) was a major disappointment. 9/10 would stay here again.
The hawthorne suites are worth the price. They are clean and provide the necessary amenities. However, it is much more dated than other hotels that I have stayed at. That being said, for 69 dollars a night, it was a clean overnight place to stay.
Hawthorn suites is a great event place. Atmosphere is welcoming and the hall accommodated every guest. The experience was wonderful.
The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice pool and good breakfast. The breakfast area is rather small with not much seating and they ran out of some foods while we were there. I'm giving 5 stars because I feel that they excelledwhere it mattered most.
Service was great. Air conditioning could have been working better. Clean rooms, bar and food great!
Our room smelled like smoke. When we reported it, a smug front-desk man came to spray some stinky room deodorizer. The bathroom had many maintenance issues (low water pressure, loose towel bar, general uncleanness, etc.). The kitchenette faucet could hardly turn on. A bright outdoor light shined into our room all night. Hotel is right next to loud interstate. Many stoned and drunk people stayed here. Pool smelled like a pond. Our kids said there was a lot of hair and chunks of stuff in the water; it certainly didn't smell like chlorine. Good pizza, though!
