I bought a car from here and brought it back a few months after recently to get a simple car wash. I was given terrible service and ended up leaving without getting my car washed because they kept telling me someone would be with me to help but I kept getting ignored and got a run around but no service. Terrible service!
Came to look for a truck, saw one we liked then noticed it was literally rusting out. When we pointed this out the salesman told us it was damaged in a way that made it unfit for sale, so why is it sitting on the lot with a price tag? Then he went inside to look at inventory and we were specifically asked to wait outside. Never had that happen to me before. It was kinda cold, I didn’t want to go inside and sit for hours but I wasn’t expecting to be told to wait outside. Needless to say when we saw that truck and heard what he had to say we weren’t interested in anything this dealership had to offer.
One of the best ford dealerships, I've been to they treat you like family and try to anything for you when you need your car fixed or looked at and I like I don't have to make a appointment for a oil change which is nice.
Mitch Miller is the best sales man over! He will do everything he can to get you the car you want/can afford. If you ever need a sales man he is the one I would definitely recommend! He's super nice, sweet, funny, and all around a great person!
A great experience! They were very attentive to my needs.
I bought a used Ford Escape May 23. On that day, I mentioned a crack on the drivers' side side. Since I bought the warranty, I was told I could contact them 45 days later, and they'd get the insurance claim going.
45 days later, I called them to get started on the claim. I was told I had to drive to the dealership to get pictures taken. Mind you, I had driven all the way to the Elkhart dealership a few times since I'd bought the vehicle, and I asked about the insurance claim every time. No one offered to take the pictures. Instead, I had to make ANOTHER trip out there to get them taken. A long drive later, it took all of 5 minutes. This was the Friday before the 4th of July week. July 6th would have been the 45 day mark, so I was promised that they would put the claim in the following Monday. It is not 50+ days since those pictures were taken, and not one update from the dealership. I have been calling every week, asking for information. The service guy seems nice but perhaps inept. He stumbles around over the phone, trying to answer for why they have no information, which leads me to believe the claim was never filed. The last time I called was August 19th. Here it is the 26th and nothing.
What is going on? I specifically chose this dealership based on the numerous good reviews I read. So far, the only ones that have held up are the ones that refer to working with Mitch. He was friendly and efficient.
A couple other things to mention - I second the comments by the reviewer who said the mileage on the vehicle didn't match what was advertised, due to employees driving it, while it sat on the lot. There were way more than test drive miles added, but that was reflected in a lower price.
Finally, when I stopped by to have the seat pictures taken, I asked to have the hideous dealership decals removed, when I returned after the insurance claim. Being that they've been on my truck for, at least, 3 months, I'm concerned there's going to be outlines left on the paint, once they're finally removed. I hope that's not the case, but it will be interesting to see how they handle it.
I recommended this company to several people initially, based on my dealings with Mitch. I doubt I'll be recommending HZ to anyone anymore, given the negative experiences I've had with the service department. Let's face it - I'll be dealing with that department for far longer than I ever dealt with the sales person.
UPDATE (9/1/2017): I considered fully removing my review, but I believe buyers deserve an overall picture of my experience with HZ, not just the good or the bad.
I got my seat fixed and the decals removed, and they did a nice job.
Mitch got the ball rolling by setting me up with a different service advisor, Thomas, and I'm grateful for that. From now on, I will insist on working only with Thomas, when I take my car in to be serviced.
With that being said, I was disappointed to not receive a call or response from the store manager. It's not that I wish to get anyone in trouble, but I do feel like there are some issues that need to be addressed, and that can only happen when someone like the manager reaches out to their clients.
Me and my husband took our brand new Ford Edge in to get a leak in the windshield fixed. We dropped it off on a Tuesday night and it is now a week later, Tuesday night and they still haven't fixed it! Yesterday I called and Jack said he would find out the status for me and that he would call me right back. Well, since that never happened, my husband called a half hour later and again he said he would find out something and call us right back. Well, he never called us back at all yesterday night! I am furious that I am not driving our new vehicle by now and I can almost guarantee that we don't get it back by tonight! So far, I am not at all impressed with Zeigler Ford in Elkhart, Indiana! I think we should have went somewhere else!!!
Great job by the Harold Zeigler Fast Lane service center. Easy in to get the oil change and the vehicle inspected. Very professional. Treated you like you were a valued customer
I purchased my vehicle through this dealership and follow-up with scheduled maintenance/needs as warranted. I have continually found them to be very customer oriented - assuring shuttle service when necessary, responding to calls in a timely, manner, and going above and beyond assuring customer understands what services are needed, when and why. It is comforting to me that my car is cared for with such professionalism.
Great experience leasing my daughters first car with Mitch Miller! Fast and friendly. One of a kind experience. Will be returning with my next college student in a couple of years. Highly recommend!
Had a 1:00 pm appointment to have my snow tires switched over to my all weather tires and to have my oil changed. I have now been here over 3 hours. No one has ever come to me to explain why the service had not been rendered in a timely manner. I had to ask at 3:30 and was told 20 more minutes. It is now 4:16 and still no car, no explanation and no apology. Planning to buy a new car this fall. Goodbye Zeigler and hello Jordan Ford Mishawaka IN. One year ago they placed the tires on my cloth seats as opposed to the trunk (where they fit). I forgave the mistake but as the saying goes "Fool me once"
Mitch Miller was very friendly, courteous and helpful. He is also quite knowledgeable about his inventory. Most of all I liked that he was prepared to deliver my new car when I arrived. I did not have to wait a long tome to get paperwork completed. I would gladly recommend Mitch to anyone looking for a new car.
Got my vehicle in very quickly and let me know what was needed and how much it was going to cost. Finally got all the problems that was wrong fixed! Friendly staff and easy to do business with them. Highly recommended!
After looking at several dealerships, I tried Zeigler Ford in Elkhart and found what i think is the perfect car. Salesman, Dan, was more than helpful in finding what we were looking for in a truck and within our budget. Dan did excellent job in demonstrating the trucks features and insisted both my wife and I drive, on our trial drive. Once back at the dealership Dan got our necessary information and had back office prepare our paperwork in a timely professional manner. We received lower rate than we had been quoted at our own bank. We would definitely buy from Zeigler Ford Again and hope Dan can once again be our salesman. FIVE STARS ACROSS THE BOARD!!
