Room was a nice room with king sized bed. Excellent view of parking lot, always a plus. Parking lot was gated though so extremely secure. Breakfast was actually very good. Just wish they had cream cheese. And staff was friendly & courteous. All in all a great experience. Location in downtown was excellent as well.

Wonderful staff, fast access to all the restaurants and shops downtown. Rooms are nice, if a little stuffy with the AC running. Shower is wonderful but would've loved a full bathtub to soak. All in all a great place to stay for any length of time.

I make trips twice yearly to Columbia and this is my preferred hotel. Rooms have always been clean, comfortable, and in good working order, staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast offers an excellent selection of food choices, and the location is convenient to the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center and several great, locally owned restaurants.

Parking is $12/night which seems a bit high (the lot is accessed through a gate but it's not a covered parking garage). Hotel as an outdoor pool. Although the hotel's address is Gervais Street, the main entrance is off Lincoln Street (the Gervais Street entrance requires a card-key, which means you already need to be checked in to use that door.)

The Hampton Inn in Downtown Columbia is an excellent facility tat has served me very well over the past three years. And I will continue staying here in the years to come.

The room they upgraded us to was nice. Had a shower and Jacuzzi tub for 2. The biggest down fall was the ceiling in the room looks like it had some prior water damage and was not repaired by a pro. The tile shower had what looked like black mold on some of the grout. Other then that it was really nice for down town Columbia,SC. Since i have lived there for 31 years and recently moved. It was nice to come back and stay down town for once. The hotel is with in walking distance to all the popular restaurants and hang out spots.

Great Location in walking distance to a lot of awesome eateries and bars. Very comfortable Beds and the room was spotless upon arrival, free wifi and delicious breakfast. Also they usually have cookies available in the late afternoon. Very Nice Hotel. Oh! And heated mirrors that don't fog when in the shower, so cool.

Great location near restaurants and hotel is nice. I took away stars due to packages that were delivered prior to my stay. They were not able to locate them in a timely manner. They were finally found later in the evening.

The internet price quoted $149 a night, moments later we called to make reservations. The clerk informed us it was $300 a night for the same days. I can rent a house for the weekend for that price. I do not understand why something would be advertised differently on multiple trustworthy sites. I think we will take the vacation rental with a hot tub for $200 instead of spending $300 a night. They need to fix what is advertised.

I found myself needing a place to stay for a free days and found three Hilton to be a wonderful hotel. The room was excellent and the rate very reasonable for the area. It is located right in the heart of Columbia with led by of options within walking distance for eating and relaxing. The people are very friendly both in that staff and the other guests. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a great experience

The hotel is in a great location. My first trip to Columbia so wasn't sure if the general area, however, this is close to a ton of places within walking distance. It seems like this place may have had a light remodel recently. The rooms are your typical Hampton. They were clean and big. They can update the bathroom hardware and fixtures (at least in the room I had) but they weren't bad. The breakfast area it's been enough and have the typical range of hot and cold as expected. The staff was very friendly. They always had a smile on their faces and greeted you at every chance they got. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the hotel just needs a little more updating, otherwise it's a great place to stay.

A lovely & well-priced hotel in a really cool, vibrant neighborhood. Rooms were clean & spacious, staff was incredibly friendly & helpful, swimming pool was nice. Good complimentary breakfast, too.

Very nice hotel that is within walking distance of just about anything you need. Parking is somewhat cramped, but that is nothing they can help. The room is very nice and up to date.

We loved this hotel. We are planning our vacation trip to Florida this week to include another stay. The location is just great. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You won't be disappointed.

Clean modern rooms, secure private parking lot good staff. They put out breakfast 15 min early to accommodate our early work schedule. Walking distance to dozens of restaurants, brew houses and USC. Nice area for evening walk about.

Love the hotel. Great amenities and breakfast. Only downside is that the hotel is off a main downtown street. Motorcycles raced up and down the street until 0230 in the morning. It kept me up and I did not sleep well.
