I have been at the Baymont Inn on Shadeland in Indianapolis Indiana for about four days now and I always have a problem with the night shift desk clerk her name is LOURN she is so RUDE I wish you had more Clark’s like the dayshift they are awesome I am having a house built and I don’t even feel comfortable staying there or asking questions at night because she is just so RUDE and MEAN yesterday I wanted to take my grandson swimming after we got in and I went to the front desk asked her a question she couldn’t even come from the back she had the gentleman that was sitting at the desk answer my questions which means he had to keep going back-and-forth from answer my question and then going to her and telling her and then she would tell him what to say and then he will relay the message to me I just think that is so rude I’ve asked for towels she would never send him up can you please get her together I really do like the hotel I just don’t like the night service LOURN😩
Hotel has terrible customer service. The "planned 4-hour" hot water outage due to tank replacement lasted 2 days. The hotel offered no compensation to guests whose morning showers were affected by the outage, told us we were notified (we weren't), and then refused to give their names or their managers name and said they did not care about anything because the hotel is changing names and our bad reviews won't affect their jobs.
The continental breakfast was lack luster and there was no juice available.
The housekeeping staff seemed to be the most capable as the place was reasonably clean and our room was neatly attended to between our 2 night stays.
Was given a room on 2nd floor that was out of commission due to heat/cool problems. Was moved to 3rd floor, bedside lights didn't work and phone wasn't connected (no plug). Maintanance crew need to step it up. Staff was accommodating.
Very nice hotel. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was a little small but still good.
I was not very happy with my stay at this Baymont Inn and I am not a picky person at all. I stayed here for two nights and the night I checked in the lady at the desk was to busy having a conversation that she wasn't very attentive to my needs. She told me my room number and handed me my keys. I expected for her to tell me what time breakfast begins and ends and also when the pool closes but she didn't she continued on with her conversation. Then the second night we didn't have them clean our room because we slept in and everything so when we got back to the hotel I stopped by the front desk to ask for some towels and said I will bring them up to you. An hour passed my husband called down there and she said I will bring it in a minute. So we waited and waited. Then he went down there after 30 minutes and they had a sign up written in crayon saying they will be back in 10 minutes so he came back up there and we waited another house because we fell asleep (It was midnight). So we called again and she said that the towels are being washed (We didn't understand why she didn't say that from the beginning and why did it take three hours to wash some towels what hotel doesn't keep fresh towels and sheets). We were not happy about this at all and won't be back. This was our anniversary weekend it wasn't a good experience at all !
I understand you get what you pay for but I stopped here for one quick night and I regret it entirely. The room was not clean or even dressed up as if they had cleaned it. Bathroom covered in hair, filthy carpet, stains every where only one working light with one working bulb. I am off for a refund and leaving if possible don't even want another room.
We left. Had a last minute need for a hotel and booked this for the nice price. Walked in to the messiest hotel I've ever seen. Looked like it hadn't been vaccuumed for a week. First room we were given hadn't been cleaned. Second room looked like it had been "cleaned" very quickly by the desk clerk who went to make sure first that it was a good room. There was a fresh ice bucket, slightly melted in the bathroom. The bed was crumpled. It stank of strong perfume. Bonus, we saw a pretty trampy couple walk through the entrance. No good. We went across the street, paid a bit more, but had a very clean, less stressed night.
The lock on the room door was broken so we could not get into the room. There was no soap & only 1 towel for 2 people. It took 1-1/2hours to get towel because housekeeping wasn't due in until then & we never did get any soap. There was no drinking water available for breakfast.
THE WORST HOTEL EXPIERENCE EVER!!!!! my sink overflowed, my shower half worked, and 1/2 the outlets didn't work. Also when they came to unclog my sink (because of the masses of cigarette butts in the drain) they used our bath towels to clean up, then we couldn't get anymore we called and asked and begged, nope none for us. Then this manager Tasha was more interested in her phone than serving people. Also there is NO hot continental breakfast here, bagels and toast. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
Check in/out staff was nice . Room was nice. Nice pool area. Lively place. Fridge & Microwave in room. Now there were sum issues . I found two blunt pieces on the floor. There were no trash bags in the room trash bins. They didn't have extra towels. Blow dryer didn't work. Housekeeping lady knocked on door at 9:30am 10:30 11:30 check out is at 12. She sat a big trash bag in front of room door at 11:50. Now that prevented us from leaving the room also a fire hazard her name was Keisha. But hotel desk check out was easy and friendly.
Stayed here the night before a friends wedding! Had a great experience! The room was very cean and roomy! I was super shocked on how clean and nice this property was!!
When we got there, another family was complaining that someone was hanging out in their room, the gal at the counter told the manager it was "Constance". They described her and we saw her wandering around the hotel the rest of the evening. The breakfast was frozen waffles, watered down juice and some other items: we left both mornings to eat out for breakfast. When we got back to the room the next day, our room had not been serviced. Went to the front desk and spoke with the manager, they gave us some "clean" and dingy towels. The manager said he would "would take some off our bill." Apparently, some is $1! The blankets were threadbare and weren't hardly big enough to cover the whole bed. Won't be coming back ever!
A bit old and run down. Definitely needs some updates. The cleaning person needs a new job. Needed new sheets due to some black stuff and a dead ant. Found a few live ones as well. Staff was Decent. I would have rather stayed across the street at the holiday inn.
Good experience overall. Check in and check out was quick and wasn't crowded at all. Pool was nice to have, through it did look a bit more run down, needing a new coat of paint. Hot tub is permanently closed. Pretty decent amount of people, especially kids, at the pool even later at night. Rooms were spacious with a mini fridge and a microwave. Bathroom was also sufficient with a bathtub and shower combo. Breakfast is basically all carbs with some mini cinnamon rolls, bagels, mini waffles, cereals, some fruit and yogurt. It was fine for a quick bite, though seating is limited. There is a Bob Evans right across the parking lot for a larger food selection. Extremely easy to get to and right off the freeway, so location was a big bonus for us.
Our stay was pleasant enough minus what seemed like constant shutting of door through the hallways at times. But the biggest drawback was the fact that their breakfast was one of the worst I have ever seen in a hotel. I have been to other, equally affordable hotels before and have never seen something like this. I know food isn't everything, but it's one of the main things I look forward to going on trips - free food (at least in the morning!). They had some cereal, a few bangles and bread. That's about it. They had coffee, which is nice at least. Other than that, it's a good, affordable place to rest when you're out and about near Indianapolis.
