My family and I had to stay overnight in Whitewater because of terrible wintry weather. At the last moment, we were welcome at the Hamilton house. The owner slash Hostess could not have been nicer. The home is very interesting, built-in I believe 1862. The breakfast that the owner serves are wonderful, artistic presentation, and delicious besides!

I have to be honest, I'm not a bed and breakfast kind of person. (The room was booked for me by a client.) This place *almost* converted me. The owner greated me as I arrived and did a great job of being friendly without being the kind of overwhelming I'm use to a B&Bs. The rooms were lovely and full of antiques but not kitchy or fussy in any way. And the breakfast . . . the propietor can COOK. It was off the charts. Really, do not skip the breakfast! And on top of that, the propietor found a gracious way to let me indicate I'm an introvert and not looking to join tables with others without making me feel like I was being rude while keeping those who wanted to talk happily in conversation. This is a B&B I can recommend! If you have mobility issues, though, like most B&Bs, due to the nature of the old house, this place would not work. I found getting into the place a little trying with a suitcase and backpack and I don't have mobility issues.

Wonderful place to stay. I do wish we would have met someone from the staff other than just the gentlemen who checked us in (handed us a key) and then disappeared. Lovely house.

By far the best place to stay in Whitewater WI. Owners are friendly and very service oriented for a B&B. The historical house is beautiful inside and out. The theme is French Impressionists. If you are looking for a place to stay around Whitewater, don't miss this unique experience.

We got married at Hamilton House in 2011 and retrned every year for our anniversary. The Inn is a lovely place to relax and take a break from the world. The Innkeeper, Kathleen, always makes us feel like we are coming home, instead travelling away. The rooms and decor are gorgeous. Hamilton House's place as a historic landmark, as part of the underground railroad, is a bonus. We love this "home away from home"
