Service department is ridiculous. My husband had his company truck there and they left the doors unlocked over the weekend. One of the locks is busted where the tools were and no one will return his phone calls. This isn’t the first time we have dealt with piss poor customer service from the service department. You would think when you spend thousands of dollars there they would treat you better. Not this place.
Went shopping for a truck all week in the D.C. area. Big mistake. Finally found a deal at Hagerstown Ford and it was well worth the 2hr drive. They had the car ready for me when I arrived. The staff was straight forward and the process was smooth. We had to wait a little longer than I would have liked in the finance office, but it was overall a great experience.
We recently purchased a new vehicle from Hagerstown Ford and our experience could not have been better. Claudia was not only patient, but she also listened to exactly what we wanted and needed instead of trying to sell us on a more expensive model. We also appreciated the finance department taking the time to check multiple options for us. All around we will be back for our next purchase and would recommend Hagerstown Ford to anyone.
Best experience ever buying a new vehicle. Salesman was upfront from the beginning and delivered as promised. My truck was beautifully detailed as I completed the paperwork. Salesman was knowledgeable about my truck and helped me set up my iPhones before I left. What can I add, the people are just awesome! I am definitely recommending this salesman and dealership to everyone.
Great buying experience! Fast friendly service with great prices. From the sales team member Trevor to the finance officer they all had smiles and ready to answer any question. We will be back!
This recall came 6 years too late. Within 1 year of purchasing this car my wife was given a ticket for no license plate light. I had this replaced to satisfy the ticket but years later don't have the receipt. I was out well over $100 for this experience. Same exact problem.

Pre-Owned Department
My experience with the team here has been far from pleasurable. Charles from the department greeted me as expected however didn't quite have the attitude I came to expect from most dealerships. The interaction felt more forced and that he was there more or less for a paycheck. Wasn't quite helpful in my search and not as knowledgeable about the products that are offered.
Nevertheless, I found a vehicle that caught my interest and wanted to work out a deal. Came back on a separate day with my trade in and started the process as usual. So far so good. He then proceeded to ask for information that I've provided multiple times during my first visit and the whole process started to feel very redundant and could have improved customer experience had he remembered to check his records.
The following situation is what has lead me to walk away. To preface what's to come next, I had every intention of purchasing the vehicle, the price was great and had a fantastic warranty, however my interaction with the next guy shows me the team here is not very well trained. As I have a trade in, I would need to have my vehicle inspected, which was perfectly okay and a very typical procedure. However, what is not typical, is the how the guy approached this. He walks up, sticks his hand out, not even introducing himself, and stares at me like I owe him money. Perhaps he was having a busy day and forgot his manners, so I introduce myself first. He says his name, which I can't recall at this point, and demands my keys. I asked if I could ride along and my question was met with this response: you have no business to ride along, I will be the only person driving the vehicle. Last I checked, the vehicle was still mine but his tone suggested otherwise. Rather than leave him alone with my keys, I walked. I don't see any reason I should not be able to ride in my own vehicle while someone else performs the inspection.
This experience has left me looking for alternatives and unless I can shown otherwise, I will not be returning. And let this be a lesson, if someone wants the keys to your vehicle, you better be in or next to the vehicle and don't let these people get their way. Who knows what they would do.
I may check out the New Car department sometime, and that may be a completely different experience. Until then, this has been my experience so far.
The service center needs someone in their who actually cares. Took my Focus in for a transmission issue, software recall and door handle recall. The manger at the service center (Mike?) tried to tell me that I could drive my car the way it was, that it wouldn't leave me stranded. The whole reason I was their was because my car left me stranded that morning. He had a attitude about him, didn't even act interested in are problem. Then he tried to tell my husband and I that we had to pay for a rental car. My car is still under warranty, I also bought the car from them ( and 4 other cars.) We had no way home ( an hour away) if we weren't provided with a loaner car. I get doing things a certain way and they have policy to up hold. It was all in the way he was talking to us. So, my husband asked for his manager. He told us they had all left for the day and he was in charge. Walked in to the sales floor and the lady at the desk called out the Assistant Manager, Judy. Judy was more than willing to listen and help us. She went out and got arrangements made for us to have a loaner car. Judy deserves a 5 star rating! All was good and forgot, we were on are way home. They called promptly and explained the issues. Was fixed in a very timely manner. The day I picked up my car I noticed a huge difference in the way my transmission was shifting, it felt brand new! The next day my husband was doing a once over on my car after I pointed out a broken clip on my door panel. So, the we get to looking at things and not one but both door panels weren't put back on my doors correctly. Their is gaps and broken clips, an the mirror adjuster button isn't centered. Theirs a gap significant gap on one side and no gap on the other side. Greasy finger prints on the cloth of my door panel. Also, under the hood the air cleaner box bracket was completely snapped off. My husband called twice that day and no one would answer the phone? Then they called asking us to answer a few questions for a service survey. My husband told them the issues, service manager is supposed to contact us. We have yet to hear anything back, that was about 4 days ago. I'm really disappointed in the condition of my car when it was returned. I take great care of my car and I expected that they would treat it like their own when working on it. I would of gladly waited another day so it could be fixed correctly. Most likely the last car that we will be purchasing from this Ford dealership. Judy is the only positive experience we had.
Was struggling with the decision to return to Ford vehicles after 20 years. Tex made my decision easy. He worked hard to find me the right truck at a competitive price. When he did, he personally went to pick it up and had it ready the next morning. If the next few hundred thousand miles is anything like the first two thousand we're a Ford family once again! Ask for Tex, with over 30 years experience he will treat you right!
Zach Bowie and the Hagerstown Ford team did an awesome job in helping me get into a new vehicle. Zach was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and went the extra mile in helping me close a great deal on an awesome new ride. - Thanks a million Zach!
Very nice experience. My wife and I live in NY now but like the dealership from prior purchases and leases. We went in on Christmas Eve, and although they were technically closed, they helped us.
We had an expiring lease (lease deal made at Hagerstown Ford) and we were looking to purchase the lease or buy a new Explorer. After test driving a 2017 Explorer and negotiating a price, they went on their way to make sure we didn't have to come back down from NY, all on Christmas Eve. We were very happy with their willingness to stay. Yes, they are trying to make a sale, but it is still gracious of them to stick it out for a few hours.
Overall, great people in the dealership and will likely be back again.
My dad bought a car from them 4 months ago. Paid for it in cash. They were happy to take his money and upgrade him to some useless warranty. He didn't get an owner's manual. I've asked for this manual 3 times. Still have gotten nothing.
Went looking for a used truck for work. Met a nice person by the name of Mike Reid.
Ask me a few questions about what I wanted in the truck and what price range I was looking for. He found me a new 2016 F-350 Super Duty dually with the features that I required.
I got a good price on my 11 Ranger for a trade in. I couldn't be more pleased with the sales financing in my truck. I absolutely love this truck.
Thank you so much Mike Reid and the staff at Hagerstown Ford for getting me great financing and interest rates as well as outstanding service.
The integrity of this dealership is at the bottom of the barrel. No wonder people hate buying cars/salesmen. My wife and I went in there ready to buy a new truck. We brought both of our trades and our 7 week old daughter to boot, so if that doesn't say we're serious I don't know what does. After being lowballed on my trades, I was fed a crock about how the truck I was interested in was the "wrong price" and how they would be losing money, but would honor the deal since I was there. The manager then proceeded to tell me he "hopes I don't buy it, because he doesn't want that on his books." I then consider another truck after he stated he could work with me more on another vehicle. A very minimal increase in the trade allowance and we walked. Next day they come crawling back saying they will honor the "wrong price" (which still a week later has not changed online) and give me what I want for my trades. I went to century in mount airy, where they matched the deal, zero hassle and split the cost of a bed liner with me. In a last ditch effort to get my business Hagerstown offers me two years of free maintenance. Too bad that is included no matter where you buy it. I won't even buy parts from there after that treatment. Stay away, go to Frederick or Mount Airy!
