Always a pleasure staying at Gurney's. From the check in experience, and their wonderful staff, to the cozy rooms and great views, there is a reason I stay here at least one night each time I come out to Montauk. The food at their restaurants is also spot on.

Just as amazing in the fall. The ocean view is unbeatable! Food options for everyone. Gorgeous place, with abundantly outdoor lounging and dining that's kept warm by firepits and fireplaces and heat lamps. Highly recommend.

Everyone has been great on our Anniversary weekend. Thank you for amazing service and making our stay once again very memorable. Especially thank you Virginia Davis for all the little extras that made the weekend special!!!

Our favorite Montauk resort. BUT the service is absolutely horrible. At breakfast we were waiting for water for 30 min after placing the order, for 4 people they brought 3 sets of silverware, for extra plate again — 15 min wait. No one was friendly or even trying to be polite. they didn’t bring any water or offered coffee until we had to chase them down for it.

Later that day — ordered room service. EVERYTHING THAT COULD GO WRONG WENT WRONG.
Instead of sparking water got still. Instead of main course chicken with side veggies — chicken on top of french fries from kids menu.
    Forgot to bring kale salad.
Added to the order sweet potato fries that we didn’t order and didn’t want to our kids to see.

When we called restaurant to ask to make changes lady was extremely rude!

Such an unpleasant experience for a lot of money.

The updated Gurney's was a downer for us.
There were three high points: the stellar Italian Restaurant, friendly staff, and the vintage books placed around. Also, they did a good job updating the room terraces.
Everything else seemed geared for flash over comfort.
Our designer bathroom had no towel bars, and no place to hang wet swimsuits. The worst was the shower. It was only partially enclosed, so water flooded out all over the bathroom floor.
It was winter, and our heater was loud. The heater from the room next door blasted like a heavy bass.
Our designer room felt cramped and awkward.
Shelves were crammed with over-priced food for sale. 3/4 of the space in the tiny refrigerator is stuffed with over-priced drinks. $4.00 for a can of coke.
A gross moment in the spa was noticing water dripping from the overhead ventilation into the hot tub.
I'll stop here, and just say that we used to love coming to Gurney's twice a year.
    The family resort is gone.
    Now, it's a corporate investment.
After this winter, we have no desire to ever go back.

Service, style, and more at Gurney's! It's an incredible resort from the moment you pull up, to the moment you walk in. The staff is top notch, it's our favorite spot to relax during our time in Montauk!
We love the comfortable couches inside, outside seating area, fire pit, and incredible beach! It's a must stop destination when in Montauk.
They have a great coffee shop with grab and go options, our favorite place to caffeinate before the drive home.

This is a slice of heaven on Long Island! Beautiful water views of rolling waves seen from most points within the restaurants, lobby, common areas. The new-ish oceanfront rooms are lovely. Relaxing by the firepit on the porch was perfect during the cold spell in April. If you want to enjoy this upscale retreat but can't afford the summer prices, definitely come during early spring for their spa packages. For those who have trouble with steps, know there are lots of them, as the resort is built into the bluff. The elevator is not convenient but overall it's worth it & as a plus you get some real time "stairmaster" exercise. The spa will be overhauled, for it is a bit dated, construction due to start this winter. For custom massage, definitely ask for Gayle, she is wonderful. Loved the rose aromatherapy treatment, the rose geranium fragrance was pure and delightful. Make sure to take a dip in the heated jetted tub followed by the indoor cool seawater pool. End your stay with an ocean view pedicure with the fab massage chair, that's a perfect finale!

I love Gurney's. It's my relaxing vacation spot. All the changes they've made over the last few years have made it very very "posh"/"premium". Though, I do miss the fire pit nights without music, and the ridiculously expensive Cabana minimums when it's empty on a Friday. I also think Scarpetta is overrated.

Had the pleasure of staying at Gurney’s as part of a production and really enjoyed my time there. With the little free time I had I took full advantage of the salt water pool as well as the sauna, steam room, and hot tub. It was a nice relaxing night with room service before shooting the next day in a nor’easter snow storm. The staff was all very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our crew was taken care of. The views of the ocean from the rooms were amazing and even just walking around the property was inspiring. I’d love to come back during the summer!

My friends and I were enjoying our afternoon when Ginny Davis, a delightful employee came over to greet us. She was so friendly and helpful because my friend is shopping for a place for her wedding. Her knowledge and expertise made our decision easy. Now we know the place but the date has not been set.

This place has under gone a complete renovation and is now a beautiful spot for vacation or dining. It's nothing like the old Gurney's, now it's very chic and stylish. I was very pleasantly surprised when I stopped by for lunch recently. Looking forward to going back soon.

I have been going to Gurneys since I was a kid. My father did work ,built the first bar and dinning room there now changed of course.I read some of the reviews. The property is expensive to upkeep and maintain. It is a prime spot on Long Island or in the state for that matter. I think they are taking on the right approach.. Many of the updates are really nice and accommodate all tastes styles and decor. I'm a chef and go out there almost every year to take a break with my family and to be able to get the quality in the food and service I put forth everyday. If anyone gets the opportunity to go there you will enjoy it. It is perfect for everyone with the beach or the indoor pool , spa, If you enjoy good food , its all there. I know you will agree that it was well worth it. Try it it will be a really good experience. be well.

Not a great value for the money, but beautiful views and lovely rooms. Beach club is a good time too, and staff all courteous and competent. Just expensive, even for the good experience.

Very nice place for vacation with family or friends. Nice restaurants where people also celebrate weddings. The place located basically on a beach so view is amazing any period of time. It has gym, spa, indoor pool, restaurants, bar, valley parking. Location is 5 min from the town which us really close.

I took my wife here and we loved it. Although it is very expensive and the room wasn't very well appointed (I think we had an "Oceanfront King"), it is the only decent hotel on the beach in this area, and the amenities are awesome. The restaurant is great. The bar is great. The beachside bar is great. The whole place had a fashionable, upbeat vibe that we loved.

Gurney's Montauk resort is a place I will definitely visit again. While it is a bit of a drive, it is well worth it. The views in the rooms are incredible. I booked an ocean view front room and having that view of the beach and ocean was great. The concierge or attendant, Rachel, was also accommodating and provided something extra when we had told her we were on our honeymoon. The spa was also great. Danielle and luz were professional and I feel as relaxed as possible. Although the rooms and spa are pricey, this was something we don't do often do we were glad to pay the price and experience what they had to offer.

We stopped by for lunch at a restaurant called Tillie's. The atmosphere and decor were clean and upscale. The food was amazing! Service was quick as well. After lunch, we went down to the beach (about 100 feet from the restaurant) and relaxed. Great place overall.
