A wonderful place for kids and adults. The dolphin show is educational and entertaining. The sea lion show brought a smile to my face. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of RV parking. Gulf views are beautiful.
This place has so much to offer. It's so much bigger then it looks from the outside. Make sure you check out all the shows on the pamphlet. It's right on the beach so you get beautiful views of the pier. My husband and I both enjoyed all of the exhibits. Just go there! You won't be disappointed.
It has come a long way over the past few years. I would like to see the shows maybe updated or changed a little. They've been the same as long as I can remember. Season pass is a pretty good value. It's nice that they do the sea turtle rehab and release them back into the wild.
This place was awesome!!! So much fun. 2 adults and a 6 year old, the 6 year old had 5 minute dolphin adventure. Around $100. Worth every penny. The photos for the dolphin adventure had to be purchased 2 at a time for some awful reason. So we spend $26 on 1 good picture and 1 bad picture. Nothing was bad tho. If we were locals we would return. Once is enough for the cost when traveling as a tourist.
The dolphin encounter is great if you love dolphins it's worth the extra money. Small place, but we liked it. Not over crowed the day we were there. September 5 2017.
Great place for outdoor family fun! This place has grown so much over the years and their shows get better and better! They have sea lions, seals, sharks, sea turtles, penguins, alligators, sting rays, and of course, DOLPHINS!!! You can schedule encounters with the marine life to swim with the dolphins and manta rays. It's really neat, as a local, you see the animals grow and see new ones arrive. It's such a great place to learn about the animals that live in the ocean. I used to live in Oklahoma so this was such an experience for me to get to see a LIVE dolphin up close!!! I think I criedanyways, totally worth the price. People of all ages will enjoy this! Highly recommend!
Overall an excellent place to go. Logs of different animals and exhibits from alligators to birds, fish, sharks, and more! It is a bit over priced for the size and amount of content in it. The touch pool was lacking too. The encounters however were fun and informative. I did an encounter with the penguins and got to feed them, pet them, and get as close to them as was safe and comfortable for them. My sister did the alligators and got to feed and hold one. The sea lion and dolphin show were very entertaining as well. Overall, a fun place for an afternoon with the family.
I'll start by saying this, the kids had a great time.
Overall the place is not bad, it's not that great for the price to get in. Was roughly $70 to get in and that's pretty high for the limited or stuff that was available. It's a small walk around, maybe an hour tops to look at everything. The animals they have are little but of a selection but the sharks were in a small section, as were the alligators, you could see hit the environment wasn't grand.
The best part was the dolphin show, and I attached a photo of the two little ones that got splashed by the dolphins and had no idea it was coming. Funny stuff.
Overall not a bad little place to go, rain or shine but the price tag is still rather steep for the maybe hour/hour and half you spend their.
Loved the dolphins and sea lion show! That was about the old good thing they had. You couldn't really see the sharks, and their sea turtle looked miserable. Hardly any fish. Also, the last exhibit was dolphins in a pool. The pool was so small and hardly deep looking. I feel sorry for those dolphins I can't imagine how miserable that must be for them. I recommend going somewhere else if you want to see a good aquarium.
We loved the Gulfarium! Educational & many opportunities for close encounters with the animals. Cute shows & geourgous views of the ocean while you walk around.
Great aquatic education and fun for everyone. I personally completed a bucket list by participating in their VIP Trainer program in which I, alone, was able to encounter, touch, feed, and swim with the mammals. It was an amazing experience and I received multiple gifts along the way. The staff was friendly and professional.
Came in December and had the place to ourselves. The staff was nice and friendly. Our 1.5 year old loved it, especially the penguins. Money well spent :)
My husband took me here while on our honeymoon and i absolutely loved it! This is not meant to be Sea World, this is small facility that rehabs animals and is used primarily for education. We saw at least three different groups of school children on field trips in the four hours we were there. My husband and i did the stingyray/shark swimming encounter and we were the only ones in the group! The trainer was very knowledgeable and friendly, she even knew all the names of the 50+ stingrays in the pool. My husband loved the stingray/shark pool but my favorite was the Seal and Sea Lion encounter that i went on. I was the only one in group so i was able to meet two seals and a sea lion one-on-one. The encounters are definitely worth every penny! The only reason i am not giving it a 5 star review is because the sea turtle upset me so much. Id like to see a larger enclosure for the turtle or at least some kind of companion, the poor soul looked so lonely.
My wife and myself were both trying to find a unique venue for our rehearsal dinner and had somewhat joked about having it at the Gulfarium. When we inquired about their pricing, we were shocked. The Gulfarium was much more affordable than we expected and definitely had the WOW factor we were looking to achieve! Our point of contact, Krista, was a pleasure to work with. Both herself and her staff worked with us around the clock and helped with set-up/tear-down for our event. They recently remodeled their event room and I must say it is very nice. Our guests loved it, especially the kids. In the end, our rehearsal turned out wonderful and we managed to save a couple bucks in the process! Good job Krista and the rest of the staff at the Gulfarium!
