I have done three firearm transfers at this shop now and the first two I had zero problems but the most recent one was a little odd. First, the owner's son told me I had to order something from the company I wanted them to fax their FFL information to before the company would accept it. This is not universally true, and was a huge time waster for me because I had to drive all the way home, order the gun, and then have them fax it. The first attempt, the fax never reached the company I ordered the gun from. I called back three days later to find out if they had actually faxed it and I was told they had; I asked them to send it again and the owner's son again told me that I had to have the company I ordered the gun from send ATPP THEIR FFL information before ATPP would fax anything out. I got aggravated and told him this was not what I was told the first time, to which he promptly put his father on the phone (who had a clue what he was talking about). They refused to believe it could possibly be an issue with their fax machine, but the paperwork finally got there. Then I go to pick up the gun and they looked at my DL and CWP and apparently didn't really believe they were for the same person because my DL picture is (surprise) from when I was 16 years old. The gun model was recorded in their delivery book wrong. Finally they got everything sorted out and got my gun transferred to me. I'm not sure if this time was just a fluke or if they have gone downhill in the last two years (prior to this my transfers were in June 2008 and December 2007), but they do have the cheapest price for an FFL transfer I have seen in Citrus county ($30 including background check).
