Not great for engineering, one of the toughest schools for it. Not in a way that it will challenge you, instead in a way that they do not want you to succeed. This is not an engineering school. This is as it says a Christian Liberal Arts College, and they have every right to be so. Still, do not go here, unless you are going to become a pastor.

You will not get a college experience here. Which you can get anywhere else. If you are considering this place, go somewhere else and subject yourself to these rules that they have, because then you can change your mind. Here, you cannot, you must transfer and then you are not under the rules of the college.

This college is redundant. Respectfully, the people can really come together and be compassionate and caring. However, there is a very strong culture of conforming to your peers’ point of view when it is convenient for the school. So if you have different views or wish to make your own opinion this may not be the right school for you. Would not recommend.

Grove City College is the best bang for your buck. The reasonable cost of the outstanding education makes it one of the best deals in the country.

Beautiful campus, friendly people, great school and most importantly, it's Christ centered!

As a student finishing up my Freshman year, I really detest this place. This is my personal opinion, as a Communications major who is interested in creativity and freedom of expression.
This school and the vast majority of its occupants are hyperconservative, intolerant, and generally judgemental towards people who do not hold the same beliefs.
Do not come here if you enjoy mental freedom.

Update: Finishing up my senior year, and this is still mostly true. However, I did manage to find a few friends to hang out with off-campus, which is what I recommend doing.

Good education. Fairly rigorous depending on the major. Obviously, as a small school it won't be well known outside of the local area, so that is something of a disadvantage.

You'll definitely have a harder time fitting in if you aren't a conservative Christian, but I've found the faculty especially to be a lot more open minded than many strict Christian schools.

Not much to do locally though.

As a DAD of my incoming freshman student, the College Staff, students and personelle have been very helpful and supportive. Our son has a strong Christian Belief and foundation, yet I feel his next step into the "world" should not be taken lightly; that is why we spend a lot of time, effort on college visits before choosing GCC. Our 1st Son goes to Messiah College, which we LOVE as well in PA, yet GCC has a Football Team, a Great award winning Marching Band, and a good baseball program that my son looks forward to joining. When we visited the Campus, the beauty and the history of the buildings and the College Counselors really sold us on this Campus. Plus, one of the Highest and Best people we know and respect in the Education system here in MD is not only an Alumni but is in the GCC Hall of Fame for Basketball. He said nothing but Nice things about GCC. The Resonable Cost and the multiple Career options was one of our favorite parts of GCC and our son loved the on campus Bowling Alley and the multiple activites and Club Groups that were offered at GCC Looking forward to our son Growing, Learning and Becoming a Man of Faith and productive citizen!!!!
