The school is full of many kind teachers. But when there are good teachers there is also the bad. Teacher(s) that make you feel stupid. Me personally I feel like graphic design is a waste of time and money I will not recommend the program here, go somewhere else

there criminal justice classes are five stars but I say three bc their video program only uses adobe and you can't find many jobs with this program. So if you want to study videography or motion graphics choose a school with the program. If u plan on staying in Pittsburgh by all means come to Ptc. Mr. Dobs is a great teacher for the video program if you do come this way.

I have nothing but good things to say about this school. The teachers are very helpful and make it a point to make sure you are successful. Nursing is not easy what so ever, so if your not ready to completely stop your life and delicate yourself and have a backup plan for your backup plan then, no nursing program will work for you.

This is a fantastic school and very different than my experience at a state school. I started at a public college here in PA and most of my professors didn't care, I even had some that mentioned they didn't have an attendance policy because they get paid no matter what grade I get. It is also tough to get help when you have a few hundred people in your class. It lead to some of the worst grades in my life. After 2 years I was tired of wasting time and money so I dropped out of MU and later enrolled at Pittsburgh Technical College. The teachers got to know each of us in the class pretty well and many of them would reach out if a student missed class to make sure they were ok. The hands on aspect of the school was great as I prefer to learn by doing things instead of reading about them. The internship was also a major benefit, especially when it was time to get a job and I had experience that other candidates didn't. It was a fantastic experience that I wish I knew about sooner.

The Network Administration program was great! I was with a great class also, which really added to my awesome experience. Made a lot of new friends while getting hands on training that prepared me for an internship during my last quarter as a Network/Systems Analyst. I was hired on and kept that job for 2.5 years before moving to Seattle. I was easily able to find a position as a Network Support Technician in a small company where I get to travel around the Pacific Northwest doing what I love. That is fixing computers, rescuing servers, designing networks, and playing the general IT hero to save the old ladies day! It's expensive and student debt sucks, but I would do it again. The professors are also real people who have worked in the field doing the type of work I'm doing now. That is the major difference between a four year and PTI, they actually teach you things that you'll use daily for the rest of your life if you pursue a career in IT. Graduated in January of 2012. It all seems like BS at the time, but damn, I'm glad I stuck it out. The first two quarters are a joke if you are already well versed with technology, but it gets better. Also, take the certs while in school!!! They pay for it if you pass and it saves so much trouble later on in life!!!! Also, some of the teachers can come off as pricks, but if you're thinking that, you need them to be pricks to you. It helped me anyways. They can be pricks because they care. I needed some professionalism pounded into me!
