My daughter took me here for Mothers Day. The food is awesome, the staff are very friendly, and this place was packed that day. That's because the food is so good. Will I go there again? You bet I will. They have the big screen televisions to watch your favorite sports while you eat. And the fried green tomatoes there were the best.

My family and I visited Grindstone's for lunch. Everything was fine until our waitress gave my mom her food. The side was incorrect. My mom pointed this out, and the waitress made it sound like my mom didn't tell her what she wanted. Then goes on to say "I'm real easy to get along with, but you have to tell me what you want," with an attitude. What happened to customer service? This waitress could have just said sorry about that and corrected the order. Not impressed at all with this place.

I normally do not think to eat here, was a good choice. Will our server done a good job and was very friendly. Food was noce a fresh, and came out in an appropriate time.

Used to be our go to place. We went because they made our favorites consistently - especially steak. Those days appear to be over.
Today was the last straw, the combination of inedible food and the most surly waitress was just too much. If the food had been good we could overlook the waitress's prickly manner and inattentiveness. However, the $20 8oz steak had the texture of damp string and chewed about the same. Though it was cooked a perfect medium, the steak and the plate underneath had absolutely no juice. The replacement was no better. They both had the mealy texture of cheap tenderized meat without the benefit of actually being tender.
In the last year or so while the prices have crept up, the quality and service have gone down. In that time, we have been served raw hamburger, under cooked steaks, over cooked steaks and tough ribs.
To their credit they always apologized and offered to remake/replace or take the item off the bill. If these had been rare occurrences that would be one thing. Unfortunately something like this happens every time now.
After giving them a year's worth of second chances I'm sad to say we are done.response / report this review -

very decent. decent atmosphere & decent food (although i would reconsider your rice bed). our waiter seemed a bit rushed & was openly pushing for us to spend more money (they have to make a living too right?). he didn't know much about the beers (specialty beers, there's so many amirite) but overall pleasant night.
