Beautiful building and fabulous group of people. I've grown my local business by leaps and bounds by joining the Chamber, going to networking events, and forming great relationships. Highly recommend.

With my wife being from Asheville, we wanted to move here at our time of retirement. We have now been here just less than three years and have determined that we have already grown out of it. As much as we love diversity we have come to the conclusion that downtown is somewhat offensive. It's appearance looks dirty and unfortunately on certain days the streets are lined with the homeless. As sensitive as I am to these people, it is not what I want to see when we go downtown to enjoy a dinner or a night out.
I can see that Asheville gets thousands of visitors annually, however, it would be interesting to note how many have reason to return.

I am a former long time resident of WNC. Let me say I love Asheville. It is a small vibrant city that I look forward to visiting. My husband and I spent time there less than a month ago. However after the recent passage by the NC legislature and governor of the country's most hateful, bigoted, anti gay /anti trans law, I will be reconsidering any future visits to Asheville and WNC. As an older gay man with a history of discrimination under my belt I have no wish to spend my tourist dollars in a state that has made clear its disdain for my life and my values. This was not an easy decision to make as I have a large community of good and fine friends in the area. Think carefully before you support discrimination with your tourist dollars.

An amazing building with a visitors center and gift shop. When you come in the main room you are greeted by people at the help desk, read to assist you with any question. Tour buses show up right in the back to take people on local tours and they have ample parking. Stop in if you are in the area.
