Great little place. You can walk through in 30 minutes so it's a fun morning activity. All of the animals seem happy. Small but really nice.
Guys, while this is a small zoo, it is a good zoo. The staff are fun and friendly, it's clean and easy to navigate, nice and closed off so the kids can just run ahead. They have a couple play grounds inside, so you can stop for snacks and let the kids goof around a bit. We buy season passes every year and that is the only way to go.
The elephants died a couple years ago :(, but they replaced the exhibit with some south American ant eaters and ostrich looking flightless birds, cool stuff. Love the leopards. leopards 4ever.
I enjoy coming to this zoo with my family. It is quite small, though, and only takes around an hour and a half to see everything the zoo has to offer. I really love going to the BOO in the Zoo every October with my family. My favorite part about this zoo is that there are also little playgrounds and children's areas throughout the whole zoo and it gives your little ones a place to play while you take a break and sit. The gift shop has lots of cute things too!
I'm just not a fan of this zoo. It seems like every time I have ever been here, you can't see half of the animals. Or they are asleep somewhere where they can't hardly be seen. They only true active animals here are the Giraffes and Anteaters. At least it doesn't cost much to visit. It does make a great educational experience for kids to learn about all types of animals. I just wish they were more visual when we come, or active to say the least.
Boo in the Zoo is a wonderful event. It is always a week or two before Halloween and it gives everyone a chance to show off their costumes. Many local companies set up booths to give treats to the kids. You do have to buy a ticket but it is well worth it! The money helps fund the Zoo and it is a safe place to trick or treat.
Awesome place to take little kids to play at the park in the middle. Great places for kids of all ages during events like Boo in the Zoo! I know I'm excited to go this year!
This is a great little zoo!!! We have a season pass and go regularly. It's a great morning trip. So glad Greenville has this and can't wait to see it grow!
So impressed with this little zoo. We had such a nice visit. Small enough that your kids can keep up and take their time at each exhibit without feeling rushed or stressed. The playground out front was a hit too.
The zoo didn't have an elephant or gorilla which was a little disappointing to me. However, the kids love it here. There is a cute little park inside the zoo for the younger kids, so you can skip the crowds from the park outside the zoo. There is a petting zoo and the kids can feed the goats. Not too crowded either. Overall, a great zoo for the kids.
I love just taking my family here and walking around for them to see the animals. The visits are usually great, the only thing with this visit was it was somewhat hot that day and after I paid for the visit; the attendant just happened to mention that being hot some of the animals may not be at the exhibit. It would have been nice to know this before I paid and not after.
It's a small zoo (about a mile from start to finish) but with an interesting variety of animals. Highlights for little ones are usually the giraffes, jungle cats (lions, jaguars, ocelots), reptile/insect house, and the gibbons. When they are on exhibit the orangutans are also a hit.
Great gift shop and the playgrounds inside and in front of the zoo make for a fun morning or afternoon out with the family.
Love zoos in general, though this one is on the small side. Has a park adjacent to take your kids to after a small walk. Definitely a good Saturday afternoon activity for the family on a budget.
Awesome little zoo. The price is great for what you get. You can make it through the whole thing in a couple of hours and still feel like you got your money's worth. If the kiddos still have some energy there is a pretty cool park right there in the same parking lot.
Super cute zoo. Very small but it is cute. Love the layout of it. Everything was sleeping today when we went but it is nice to go to small one like this where it isn't so crowded all the time. The park outside of it amazing, kids love it. The best and most interesting animal was probably the ant eater.
