The train station location is difficult to find at night. Poorly lite and not well labeled. Parking lot needs attention.
A perfectly serviceable little train station at a convenient location. The terminal has ample seating and is easy to navigate. Parking is plentiful and close to the station. Staff are not always available for the early departures, however the times are regular and posted on the board inside.
I've rode the train all my life. I used to catch it to go to school in Philly. It was one of the best trips as a kid. Now I'm sending my daughter on her first 🚆 trip. The station is outside and no place to keep warm but it always was that way.
I used to work here when it was owned by Westmoreland Cultural Trust. Now that it's owned by Jim Stone they lock the station up and it's a major inconvenience to all patrons and the people who live and work here in town.
We took my son for a ride from the Gbg station to the Latrobe station and it was great, on time, people were very nice, and the train was clean. However, the reasoning for the four stars instead of five is because the train was older and it had small seats!(NOT VERY WIDE) I only weigh 160# and I'm five foot seven inches, so I'm by no means fat, but the seats seemed SMALLER like old bus seats, lol.
