Half empty restaurant. I have a party of 15 coming, half of them already here, and a waitress hassles me and my disabled mother sitting at two large tables that will accommodate my party, that we can't "reserve seats." I've been going there all my life and have never had that issue. Good food though.

Sometimes there's long lines to eat at this cafeteria style restaurant, but it worth it. The food is very good, average sized portions, a bit expensive, but a nice place to go eat on various occasions.
Reminds me of the great cafeterias of when I was a child traveling with my parents, back when cafeterias served very good food. Well, this place did and still does serve very good food! Come try it and see for yourself.response / report this review -

Good restaurant for cafeteria food, veggies & great pies! Know for fried chicken, etc. Prices have raised this fall. Still a good value when wanting something other than bar food & wings.

Don't know what has happened but on my last visit, and it may be my last, I got carry-out, trusting that the same delicious food would be served only to find that Friday's Mac and Cheese was more like left from Wednesday before, crunchy hard. The Harvard beets ( three of them) we old, oversized and the was no sauce. Not fit to eat. Then the chicken wasn't Gray's Famous #2 in the state fried chicken. What is Going On?! They got one star because there is no lower option.

Great home style lunch! More than than enough options to satisfy any appetite and taste. Plenty of room in the dining room but I can definitely see it getting packed after church let's out. Overall great experience, if I'm ever in the area I'd try it out again!

Excellent meal and very good service. Waitresses were very good at taking care of drinks and the workers on the line made things move along smoothly. Also saw a great (and rare) act, a gentleman working the food line thanked the military veterans for their service. Great place and worth the stop!

Food was delicious, staff is very helpful and polite. They have a nice little gift shop. Plenty of parking space. Very clean. Worth the drive north.

Very disappointed, again, third time since new owners, kept hoping would go back to the way it used to be. Doesn't deserve to be called "Gray's". Tough, chewy, baked chicken, hummingbird cake not OG recipe, stuffing was sweet (not in a good way). Yuck. Not old fashioned cooking anymore. Very sad day. Plus, the prices are 25% more. Not a good business strategy. Will not be back, ever. This was a Thursday at 3p. :'(

Friendly staff and rustic atmosphere. Cafeteria style. Great pies. Little $$$ but the food is dang near worth the price. Super freaking busy on holidays

Terrific food always! A great place for reliable comfort food that continually provides consistent results. Worth the money you pay for the meal. A great place for lunch, dinner or coffe and dessert.

Nowhere I've ever been have I found genuine comfort food so carefully prepared to satisfy the stomach and the soul. Me, I go for the meatloaf, because nothing says home like a generous slab of meatloaf pretty darn close to what grandma made in her Central Michigan farm kitchen. But try anything you think you'll like, and I dare you to go out the door without a grin on your face.

Tueday evening for 5pm dinner. We sailed through the line. The food all looked very tasty. We had chicken livers, and salmon patties. Wow!!! The sides were all gorgeous and perfectly seasoned. The green beans were very notable along with the scalloped potatoes. Everyone had muffins: blueberry, chocolate chunk and cranberry were all scrumptious! The service was spot on and not too intrusive. It had been years since I ate at Gray Bros and other than the distance, I could not think of why! An all around enjoyable and entirely tasty experience.

Always a delight to eat here. I love their meatloaf; it doesn't feel too dough-y like many restaurants, thickly cut, and meaty. Fried chickens are good too, thin, but crispy crust. Juicy meat and cooked through. Pies of our selection is strawberry shortcake pie (I think they called it that? but ton of cream. So it's like a strawberry with whip cream) and pecan pie. We usually like their mac 'n' cheese but cheese was disappointing this time. Little granulated? Stuffing was bland and bread-y once so I've been avoiding.
