Railroad red cabooses converted into individual cabins with everything you need (refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, serving ware, aircondlting, heat, grill outside, Jacuzzi tub inside the cabin, separate bathroom, swing overlooking spectacular mountains, nicely gardened area around each cabin and TV -not needed in this god's country!).
I tell you it had most of everything than the more expensive franchise hotels we stayed in. Up the mountain, driving towards the winery, in the middle of nowhere. The hosts, a very nice and sweet couple. If you are looking for lux accommodations, skip it. Basic, unique and clean. Quite relaxing in the clouds

We stayed in the Depot cabin. Should have made reservations for the caboose. They were booked. Wonderful place great price. If your on the parkway it is a must stop.

My girlfriend and I decided to stay here for a few days on a lark, and couldn't have been happier! Seriously, if you are considering these Cabooses, just come. They're incredibly nice (tv, bed, jacuzzi, grill on the porch), clean, and very close to the Blue Ridge parkway. We went on several hikes and to the Chateau Morrisette Winery. I can't recommend this place enough!!!

My dear wife and I were exploring for our anniversary and found these Cabooses.
What a Novel Idea. We actually brought our dog Chardonnay with us and kept her crated when we went off to explore. Good base to do so from and the owner was quite nice. We stayed in the depot which was larger. Though everything was a bit rustic it did not bother us and we enjoyed our stay. Would like to come back to stay in one of the actual cabooses.
