Went with the family. A lot of kids at the playground having fun. Good apple donuts and cider. Didn't pick any apples but I hear that's good too. Good crowd but not overwhelming like some other orchards, with amenities that are just as good.

Beautiful farm! There's a great selection of apples to pick, a bakery, kids activities, pumpkins, and goats! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Try the fried apple pie and a glass of cider. The apple caramel oatmeal cookies are yummy too!

Obviously a tourist attraction( traffic a bit backed up at entrance/ exit) but set up very nicely. Large parking lot, play area for kids, Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. View in the back postcard perfect. Rocking chairs set up so you can linger. Apples were delicious, many varieties to choose from. Some we're available to pick yourself. Some baked goods and refreshments available.

This place is quiet nostalgic for my wife and I simply because in 2008 that is where I asked her to marry me! We have been happily married ever since! Now it's a fun little day trip to take with the wife and kids on the weekend.
We all went on the 23 of September and could hardly move, it was like a theme park! It was crazy and as a result,we just picked the smallest bag they offered, filled it up, and left. It was too crazy! I'm glad the place is doing so well, but it's almost too well!

Among the several apple orchards along this stretch of road, we chose to stop at this one because there was a good-sized crowd already there. Once we parked, I saw why. They had beautifully maintained grounds, lots of things for the kids to do (even if it was extra money), and a great shop in the barn. Unlike other orchards I've been to, I felt like almost every apple on the tree was in perfect condition and we filled our half bushel quickly. We finished off with some good BBQ provided by the food truck onsite.

Great family owned business! We love buying apples right from the grower and have watched Grandad's grow and expand over the years. They have the best variety of apples that they pick or you pick. They added a bakery with mouthwatering apple products. My favorite are the "apple cider donuts!"
They have added many items to help kids burn off energy and enjoy the farm. This place is popular but worth any wait for products.
Grandad's will also ship your favorite apples right to your door!

This is a great little place to pick up a variety of apples and other homegrown and made foods. The apple doughnuts are the best!

My favorite place during apple season. I love the outdoor activities for the children. But most of all, there apple cider donuts are to die for!

Great for the kids and tourists, if you just want to buy some apples stop anywhere else on the same road.

Expensive for what it is. Pretty unorganized. Corn maze they want you to pay for with no one manning the start. We did pay at the register then back to the maze. None of the hole punches worked at any of the four stations in the maze. Apple fritters were disappointing. Seems kind of like a tourist trap. You get more bang for your buck, and better pumpkins and baked goods, at the Ingles down the road (and that's not saying much). Is this really what WNC has to offer for farm fun in the fall??
