I've been here countless times, and I'm always amazed by this place every time I'm here. The energy and excitement when it's Rush Hour, and the kind of serene Beauty when it's relatively empty. The restoration a decade or two ago really made this place much more beautiful. Plus, there are actually some good restaurants in the basement if you have have time to kill while you're there, along with restaurants and shops on other levels as well. It seems like you'll see every single human being in the whole world go by, or at least representatives from every culture, if you stay here long enough. This is a must-see for anybody visiting New York City.

Amazing icon of New York City - grand central terminal is a must see fabulous building steeped in history! Beautiful architecture, esp the ceiling..Shops and dining concourse, rest rooms, NYC information desk, Apple Store..Tiffanys and lots more. Try the organic coffee dock in the dining concourse - best coffee in NYC - highly recommend it!

How can anyone not love Grand Central Station? The hustle and bustle of people going in all directions reminds me of what a great country we come from with all it's diversity and opportunities. We came during their holiday market and found an adorable ornament to remind us of our trip. A great place for traveling, eating and shopping or just sitting on a bench to people watch!

One of the most beautiful place to see in nyc. It's busy on all peak hours. It has place for having food in basement and had a good security as well. If you want to enjoy the natural sun light inside the place hovering on the clock, then visit on early morning by 7.00 am. Check the photo I have added. It explains all.

Full of life and things to do. You can sit on the steps and just rest and enjoy the view. Great spot for pictures and a place to catch those beautiful train leaving the port. Many great shops (be prepared to spend). Little tip, go to the you store for a good time of browsing.

Impressive, super cool architecture and Iconic!!
Its located on the corner of 42nd Street and Park Ave and has 60+ tracks for trains. Everything about it is on a grand scale. Grand Central covers 48 acres and has 44 platforms, more than any other railroad station in the world. The ceiling in the main concourse is absolutely stunning. The circular Information Booth is a famous meeting place. Thousands of people go through Grand Central Terminal every day on their way to or from somewhere, but not everyone realizes how fascinating the history behind Grand Central terminal is.
It’s really nice standing in the main hall and soaking in the experience. Its more than a train station. I have read somewhere; more than 700,000 people go in and out of Grand Central Terminal every day and It's pretty clean considering the amount of people overwhelming it every day
GCT also houses some fine eating and drinking establishments - sit down and take out, fancy pants and casual - along with all sorts of stores that carry gifts, clothes, shoes, pastries, jewelry, scarfs, a pharmacy - anything you need to buy, you can probably find here. In Holidays, lots of activities going around.

Crowded. Vital. Pulsating. The beating heart of the city. Hundreds of trains commuting workers and people. Wonderful decorations in the Main Hall. It's obviously worth a visit.

It's Grand Central and worth spending an hour or two exploring. They have a farmers market hall with great baked goods, local meat and fruit. The people watching here is unbeatable. Try to find the black patch on the ceiling. It was left untouched from the restoration, and it shows you how dirty the ceiling used to be when the allowed smoking in the terminal for all those years, it was literally black.

I normally get off the train at Grand Central Station but I've never bothered to go upstairs where the real beauty is until today. So I decided to go upstairs into this large beautiful room filled with conversations from people of all walks of life.
Inside Grand Central are many stores and a great dining area which offers good food.
P.S If you're looking for the restrooms they are downstairs in the dining area.
In the large room upstairs you should look up at the ceiling and you'll see the constellations and if you look up at the windows across the room
(Depending on what time of the day it is) You'll see beautiful rays of sunshine coming through the windows and it just makes the room look so magical!
I felt like I was in a 1940's film, so classic and lovely! The architecture of this building is amazing and it has a historical look and feel to it.
I was definetly in complete awe of this place and will definitely return to see this beautiful building once again.response / report this review -

I love GC. Good signage, organic snacks and great coffee for your morning rush, then on the way home hit up Grand Central Market for a culinary delight! A full gourmet market with steaks, spices, coffee roasters,fish, cheese and fresh produce. Stop by Financier for an amazing dessert, or the Nordic food court for dinner. If you're in a hurry my favourite place is Juice Press, fully organic juices and smoothies. Amazing!

The name in itself says it all, this place is grand. It is amazing how much is here, it is so much more than a terminal.
You can grab a train or subway to nearly anywhere you would like to go. This is definitely an iconic place to visit and explore. The architecture here is amazing and beautiful. There is food and shopping. You wouldn't even know from looking on the outside what all is inside. The terminal itself is connected to other buildings. It goes on forever.
There is no words to describe how extensive it is here, you could get lost in her for days. I wish I wasn't so limited on time when I was in NYC and had more time to explore. This is definitely one place I would love to come back explore grab a bite to eat and read more into the history of the terminal.
Do yourself a favor and make sure to stop by here even if just for a little bit. It is well worth your time.response / report this review -

Quintessential New York experience. I recommend Grand Central terminal to any tourist who has not already seen it. Be sure to go during the rush hour 5 to 6 p.m. to see the hordes of people rushing to get home. I live in New York City and still enjoy watching from the mezzanine level.

Worth Seeing. This is better than as seen in many movies and TV shows. The main floor is impress, walking around one finds a great fresh food market, a great food court. If you are in the area, definitely worth a visit and walk around.

I love this old station -- it's a great place to take the kids for some respite from the weather if you're touring during rainy or cold weather. The food court downstairs is pretty decent, but the atmosphere of the station itself is what makes this place so special. Take in the high windows and decorated ceilings in the main hall. The train staff are happy to pose for photos, and you can make it out onto the platforms to look at the trains without a ticket. Plus -- bathrooms! Always a plus in NYC.
