The caregivers are amazing and very hard working people, they constantly stay busy making sure the residents are safe and well taken care of. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that the Director seems to be forgetful at times, ( and this is concerning to me) Also the staff is not appreciated, this is also concerning, because I know they go above and beyond for our family members. They are what keeps the facility running smoothly.

I am very pleased with everything about Grand Brook Memory Care of Richardson/N Garland. My wife of 60 years has been a resident at Grand Brook for 10 months. It is well managed, employs some very compassionate and attentive care givers, the facilities are nice and are well maintained, the activities/programs for the residents are well thought out and beneficial for the residents, and the food is good. Management of this facility is "hands on" and knows what is happening in the center and management is open to a dialog about individual resident care and receives constructive criticism well. As with most things, what you get out of some activity or service is based upon what you put into that activity or service. I try to apply this principle and participate in most of the activities offered by Grand Brook--such activities as the meals/parties provided for the residents and their family, and attending and participating in the monthly support group meeting held specifically for the families of residents. There are several men whose wives are a resident at Grand Brook. We have met together as a group of men to discuss the personal impact on those of us whose wife is a resident of Grand Brook. Many of the caregivers and staff at Grand Brook are followers of Jesus Christ and that relationship with Jesus influences their approach to caregiving as well as influencing their personal relationship with the residents--and that is VERY important to me. Overall, I give Grand Brook Memory Care of Richardson/N. Garland a five star rating.

I've written a couple not-so-happy reviews of other facilities in the last few months, so I'm delighted to post this one. Our family's only regret is not having found Grand Brook sooner (I always thought memory care was exclusively for residents who would wander without a locked door); I had pretty much written off all senior care providers after a series of disappointing experiences, first in assisted living and then in skilled nursing and rehab. But Grand Brook was amazing- from start to finish, top to bottom, a first class operation. My mother was there in August 2022, after her second hospitalization in 3 months, resulting from the rehab she was in not being able to convince her to drink, eat, move, take her medications She was in bed almost 24/7 and steadily going downhill. When she got to Grand Brook, they had her spending the whole day in the common area, eating three meals a day, drinking water, taking her medicines. The change was night and day. The staff's communication with us was over the top good, their hospice provider is much, much better than the hospice she was on at the old place, the Executive Director is warm & engaged, hands on, a dynamo of energy. I really can't say enough good things about this facility. Unfortunately, the damage was done in terms of my mom's body, and she passed away only 2 weeks after arriving. The compassion and support at the end, both by Grand Brook and by the hospice team was excellent. My mom was a tough cookie, and Grand Brook cared for her with grace and professionalism.

My wife of 59 years became a resident of Grand Brook - Garland about a month ago. She had been in another memory care residency for 16 months. She broke both hips in falls in a time span of 70 days and after the second broken hip, the place where she had been for 16 months did not think they could provide adequate care for her any longer. I contacted Ruby Care Senior Living Advisors and my friend there, Joyce Logan, suggested I contact Grand Brook--which I did. I talked to Michaela Simmons (Sales and Marketing) and Janene Boughton (Executive Director) and they were both very informative, inviting and encouraging. After that initial conversation, I knew that Grand Brook was the right place for my wife and she was directly transferred there from the hospital after her second hip surgery. Grand Brook has met my expectations in every regard. The executive staff and caregivers alike show love and concern for the residents and to me. The facility is beautiful and well maintained and the food is good. There are activities for the residents all during the day. God answered the prayers of me and my family in providing an excellent place for my sweet wife (mother and grandmother) to live and be cared for and we are most grateful

Grand Brook is superior to other memory care facilities. It has an atmosphere of positivity and kindness. The caregivers have a wonderful attitude, and are attentive to all residents. The rooms are clean, the food is prepared by a chef, and the common areas are comfortable. The staff is actively engaged in many activities with residents. Medical care is immediately available, and residents are treated with respect. I truly believe that my loved one has improved physically, mentally, and spiritually since she has moved into this facility. I highly recommend Grand Brook for your loved one.
