Delicious baked goods at fair prices, and a courteous staff. Has a crowd of regulars that frequent it.

Complete gem of Downtown Rochester! Every chance I am in the area (I moved to the other side of town), I stop in. I am warmly greeted each time. Pastries and breads are amazing and a welcomed treat when I bring them home. Got to see everyone at the Kris Kringle market - I never miss stopping there!

This place is a great bakery and also a good spot for a coffee and pastry after shopping downtown. They have great bread as well as a wide variety of tasty pastries. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is not very much seating (a few four person tables), but it has a great atmosphere. We also liked the strong German influence, and we have even heard a few people ordering in German.

Through a sequence of events we found ourselves without a cake the weekend before our wedding. Give Thanks came through for us in a major way by making us a small but magnificent cake (despite having several key pastry people on vacation)! We are forever grateful for their help! A pic from our photographer below. Great people and a wonderful bakery! I'm particularly fond of their almond croissants.

Beautiful local European bakery. The staff makes the customer feel special and greeted from the moment you walk in the door. The selection is wide and ambience is cozy. I'd recommend the almond croissant, fresh fruit tart and the asiago cheese garlic bread. Everything is a must try at this place. The prices are budget friendly and quality is fresh. They will probably run out of stalk if you get there late which shows they only sell things made fresh early morning. I went in there first time and felt like I'm like their most regular customers. Don't miss out on this hidden gem just because it's easy to miss. Entrance is on the back of mainstream right across the parking lot. I'll definitely be a regular customer here now.

I have eaten here many times and have never had anything that was short of exceptional! The staff is friendly, patient and welcoming. This place has quickly become my favorite place for a Saturday morning latte and fresh fruit tart. If you've never been, stop by and experience a little piece of Europe right here in Rochester, MI. You won't be disappointed!

    Nobody does it better, nobody!

Give Thanks has been Rochester's hidden gem for a number of years now. They have a large variety of unique and addictive breads. You'll swear that's someone's Grandma is in the back making each loaf from scratch and preparing them by hand. My family are suckered for the Seeded Levan, the heavy Sour Dough and the dessert bread filled with homemade candied fries and currents.

Then there are their amazing French and German pastries. Each one a photo worthy piece of art, that some tastes even better than they look. They also always have a selection of cakes and tortes that will be the talk of your next dinner party.

I suggest you purchase an assortments of breads and goodies to take home with you, but then take the time to reward yourself with a cup of coffee and some sweet temptation at one of their little tea tables.

Great local bakery. Be sure to order your Stollen for the holidays early! Great warm Ham&Cheese croissants! Very small, but everyone is nice and will make room for you to sit.

My wife and I love this place. Reminds me of my time in Europe eating French baguettes. If you go in the morning you will notice that they supply deserts and breads to many fine establishments around Metro Detroit that come by to pick up their food bags to serve in their restaurants. If you are in downtown Rochester on a cold day, I recommend that you stop by and get a nice coffee and desert.
