  The lakeside campsites are amazing and spacious. We were able to launch our canoe directly from our site. The beach is small but very nice. The resort was closed for renovations when we visited and the train only runs for certain events throughout the year which was disappointing. I would highly recommend this place!

  This is a beautifully manicured, quiet park with spacious campsites and cabin lots overlooking a lake. Loop one is more shaded than loop two but all have nice tall pines and even those not on the water have a view of it. Rest rooms are small but clean. Only negative is that it’s rather pricey for a state park.

  Enjoyed visiting the park and the indoor and outdoor museum. Went out because I discovered while checking out the museum online some of my ancestor's history was displayed within the museum. Our family history was very nicely represented and displayed. There are a variety of things to do at the park (fishing, swimming, walking, hiking, disc golf, golf, camping, etc.). If you're going out definitely recommend taking some bug spray with you. The park is heavily infested with a variety of pesky annoyances who like biting you. :) There is a small entrance fee for accessing the park. Front gate operate on a cash only basis. If you do show up with a credit card they will direct you to the museum to pay the entrance fee.

  Beautiful!
  Arrived Friday night and left Sunday Morning. Friday night we went to the resort restaurant which was within walking distance. We had the BBQ Philly, pulled pork nachos, and a burger (don't get the burger; very greasy). The atmosphere was great and the service was good.
  We were on site 23 (waterfront). The
  campground was clean and quiet. There were a lot of boaters on the water. Next time, we will stay longer to enjoy more amenities.

  We stayed in one of the 'rustic' cabins for the weekend. They need a new description because there was nothing rustic about cabin #9! It was lovely, well-furnished, and very comfortable. It was also reasonably priced and pet friendly.
  
  We enjoyed food from the Cypress Grill. The park is beautiful and well maintained. We look forward to returning.
