I have been a patient of Genesee Valley OB/GYN for over 16 yrs & have no intentions of ever leaving this practice. I have referred multiple friends to this practice as they were unhappy with their previous practices & they are overjoyed with the care/attention they now receive at GVOG. Additionally, I recently gave birth to our first child & can honestly say that I went into the delivery room fully relaxed knowing that I would be in the exceptional hands of GVOG. I cannot say enough positives about every GVOG practitioner. Thank you for continuously going above and beyond, & truly caring about your patients.

I have gone to this practice since I was a teenagernow 2 children later it has always been a good experience. They always took the time to answer my questions. I had a few medical issues they were able to help me work through. I have worked with most of the doctors in the practice. My mom referred me to the practice has she has gone quite a long time. She had medical issues they worked with her to resolve and assist with having children. My husband and I ended up being delivered by the same doctor in their practice. I have nothing but high regards for their practice and their dedicated work with their patients!

I went here for many years, far too long. I have had innumerable bad experiences with the front desk, the women are arrogant, bad-tempered and condescending. The practice fights with my insurance companies (more than one different one over my time here), my pharmacy, and myself over petty things. There has also been a revolving door of doctors which seems to have gotten worse as time goes on so the last few years it's been someone new every time I go. At one point I asked to have my IUD removed as it was irritating me and the doctor refused! On the grounds that it was "one of the best methods of birth control out there", I don't care what it is, it wasn't working for me and I had to go to another doctor to have a say in my own healthcare. I should have switched years ago but since it's only once a year, I put it off for too long.

The final straw was repeatedly fighting the receptionists on the phone to have my birth control pills refilled, they kept saying I *need* to come in for an annual, when even the doctor at their OWN PRACTICE stated that over the age of 30 women need not- and should not- have an annual exam. After research I found her view was consistent with the consensus of the medical community ("American College of Physicians recommends that healthy, low-risk women not have routine annual pelvic exams"), while the receptionists - WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE A SAY IN MY HEALTHCARE OR MY RIGHT TO BIRTH CONTROL- are stuck in the 1950's, where women need to get seen once a year every year, for reasons science doesn't bother to explain.

DO NOT waste your time or your money going to these people. It is a terrible business, out to get your money. They do not care about your health, they do not care about your well-being, they do not care about current standards of heath care. They just want to drum up money and will hold your prescriptions over your head to get it. A disgusting example of everything that is wrong with the healthcare community right now.

Horrible Experience! I was new to the area when I decided to try out this office. When I arrived I was not greeted, I finally had to get one of the girls attention by tapping on the window. The doctor visit was short and unpleasant. I had requested information about my insurance for IUDs and I never heard back from anyone. When my next yearly visit came around they mailed me a pathteic/generic postcard letting me know it was time for my next visit. The line where my doctor was suppose to be listed was left blank! I will NOT be going back to this facility!

This company will NOT accept people who do NOT have insurance.the new form of "insurance" segregation. I am a student give me a break - its not my fault that I do not have insurance! Horrible experience over the phone and when I asked for an explanation of why they wouldn't accept me the woman had no clueshe just said that they were a private practice! Either way - seeing from the last comment, this place sucks. Glad I didn't go here. You should avoid this place as well.
