Camping here is great! Beautiful place. No swimming. Plenty of trails, even some that can be done (at least in part) with a wheelchair. The cabins are cozy and great for family vacations. Archery range is nice. Fishing is good. Historic farm is great for kids and adults. Fresh eggs available at the general store. We enjoyed the area so much while camping that we took our extended family for a stay in the cabins. Great place to just "get away from it all" whether staying overnight or just for the day.

Campground is without a working dump station. Staff did not tell us. Sign says you can go to other state campgrounds Sites are all pull through.

We decided to take a short trip for my birthday weekend and go camping close to home only an hour away We were slightly disappointed due to the main nature trail (boardwalk) being closed and some of the other nature trails were closed as well No where on the site did we see the trails were closed when booking for two nights The farm was not open while we were visiting the park either It would have been a nice place if it was all open to see.I did enjoy my family time so no complaints about that

The farm is interesting and it's free after the parking fee. My son especially loved the ducks waking around everywhere. The historical aspect is neat, but we always seem to miss the interpretive staff.

A friend and I enjoyed walking around the lake. We liked the animals, especially the goats. They are so friendly, they come right up to the fence. It's an experience of a life time for children and adults.

Relative quiet atmosphere, cabin is large and comfortable, many activities for younger people while ideal for us seniors.

Who is the genius who put a state park for camping so close to a railroad track? Beautiful day areas but bring ear plugs if you are in a tent.

This was the most perfect "quick getaway" ever! So peaceful but also offers plenty to do! The park is gorgeous; well maintained and clean. The individual sites are huge with room for ALL the necessities of camping- our tent, chairs and vehicle didn't even put a dent in our space. Each camping area has a "Campground Host" whose job it is to make your stay comfortable and safe; Chuck & Patsy from Camground #1 were our hosts and they were fantastic! Both the men's and lady's room have two shower stalls (and a washer and dryer! ☺) so you can clean up after spending the day out walking the trails, fishing, hiking, etc. Addionally, for those who prefer to camp in a cottage as opposed to a tent, they have you covered; one cottage is even dog-friendly. They offer paddle boats, canoes, kayaks and bicycles for extremely reasonable hourly rental fees as well as a pond area to fish from. We absolutely loved the mini farm where they have goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, two donkeys and a horse. The goats, ducks, donkeys and horse all eat very gently from your hand and LOVE apples, oranges and bananas. The geese, ducks and chickens will eat bread and nuts/seeds if you toss it to them. Additionally, we liked the fact that the gates are closed at 10pm which helps make you feel secure and EVERY SINGLE staff member we spoke to or dealt with in any way was beyond pleasant and very well-versed in their profession. I can't say enough about General Coffee State Park this place was phenomenal in value, beauty and things to do. By far, the best state park I've ever visited and I can't wait to go back!

Campsites here are much nicer than at other nearby state parks. They are spaced nicely, meaning you aren't shoulder-to-shoulder with your neighbors. All are pull-through with power and water hookups. Bathrooms are clean. Park is clean and the rangers are super friendly. We've been to several state parks and General Coffee is hands down our favorite place to visit.
