This is a new sky lift. Goes to the top of mountain and there is food to eat and beer. Lots of hiking and swinging bridges to walk across. Great views from top of mountain. Great for kids and elders.
This is my husbands favorite ride. Crazy as it may seem. He says he loves it because it relaxes him and he can see the beautiful view. You can buy a ticket that will be good for one ride or a ticket for unlimited rides until 11 p.m. Even with the discounts though, the price is steep. It cost us $42 even with the military discount.
Ride was fantastic But I did not feel safe at all. The entire time even going up I felt anxious and nervous, kind of like one wrong move and I could fall backwards or fall forwards. I'm not scared of heights. And even though it would take a lot to fall out, I still didn't feel comfortable. I was so panicked the entire time I didn't even really take in the view like I wanted too. Which the view is gorgeous! I was grasping the arm rest on the chair for dear life and my fiancé was trying to comfort me by holding my hand and talking to me. Even thinking about it I get uncomfortable. So I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has anxiety (like me) or a big fear of heights.
It’s a little pricey, but we paid the extra $2 a person and got unlimited rides which made it totally worth it. It’s a smooth, slow ride that kills some time and gets you off your feet. Breathtaking view of the city and mountains. It’s especially pretty at night.
Not the greatest in the off season. Everything was closed when we went up in the evening except the bar. The tram ride was great and we were given a free trip to come back the next morning when it was open but we did not have time to make another trip. Posting hours for everything in their brochure would be extremely helpful.
Worth every dime! The lift itself gave you a fairly good amount of time to enjoy the ride and the views. And the views were breathtaking! I cannot find a better word for it, because you can see the mountains and town in every direction the entire way back down. It was a memory I'll definitely cherish.
This place completely burned to the ground during last year's fire. The completely rebuilt the lift this year. The chairs now seat 3 people instead of 2. Currently it's a non stop ride to the top and back to the bottom. They are in the process of rebuilding the store at the top of the lift.
Awesome view. Pretty well managed and maintained.
Over all, a pretty memorable experience.
If you'vetime to kill, get the all Day pass. It'll be worth it
I 💘 it and is affordable. For child is another price and for adults another price plis you add $2.00 more adding to the regular price you get unlimited rides for the day you are there and it is fun. The view is breathtaking and priceless perfect for taking pictures📷📹💗💋
If you're looking for a nice quiet ride for a sky view, it's great(though maybe a little pricey for the experience). Very peaceful for a quick rest. Right now you are not able to disembark at the top due to fire damage, but this should change over the next year or so. Until then, it's a one and done.
As a matter of fact I just rode the chair lift today for my first time. I loved it. It was a beautiful view and even though the gift shop was gone it was still a great ride. I loved that it was a bigger seat and could sit 3. I sat on the display one on the street, the old kind, and it was very cramped. I'm glad they upgrade it. I would recommend doing this if you are in Gatlinburg.
