Amazing! We were just passing through on our way to St. Louis, and I found this awesome spot on google. We’re probably going to stop on our way back home too. Food was great, atmosphere was laid back and cozy, and the servers were pleasant. Everything was cooked to perfection in a short amount of time, and really hit the spot. The patio is such a nice area to sit and get some fresh air without feeling like you are battling the elements.

They need to organize their seating method a little better. There are two entrance doors, we came in on the bar side. The bartender told us to sit at an empty table. A hostess came over and said she was getting ready to seat a party there. We wouldn't have sat had we known the method for getting a table. Great atmosphere, fun crowd. Would go back!

Yeah, Gabby Goat is awesome. Nice food menu and a great beer selection. Oh yeah, one the best parts, the service! Just as my beer level was getting low, the waitress was there, ready to take my next beer order.

Great service, great food/beers, well priced=A damn good time.

Great food and friendly staff! Met here for a late lunch on a Sunday and they were packed (always a good sign)! The portions are generous and affordable. I got a pony shoe which upon its arrival to the table, I was immediately grateful that I didn't order a horse shoe. Our waitress was friendly and never left us thirsty despite her being very busy. Always a must when I'm in the area!

some Tuesday evening, passing through town on a road trip, hotel concierge gave strong recommendation for Gabby Goat. It did not disappoint.
The hostess took us back to a less-crowded, less-noisy area of the restaurant, which was appreciated. Still had a few TVs back there to watch the college b-ball & NBA games.
I ordered the crispy fried pickle chips (delicious) and a bowl of chili, which was perfect for that particular very cold evening. A lot of the burgers and sandwiches were tempting, so I suppose I have to go back sometime!

Such a great local place to grab a bite with friends. The food is always great & the staff is always friendly. I frequently point out of towners in The Goats direction when I'm at work.

Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning after we were told how great it was. It was mediocre at the most.
Everything was hot but flavor wasn't exceptional. I ordered the eggs, potatoes, and sausage patties. My husband ordered the B & G with chicken and he said it was awful.
The chicken was way over-done and the biscuits were hard. I will say their rumchatta French toast was amazing. Kids had pancakes and they barely touched them. Overall, I would say try it out. I won't be returning myself.

This was an okay place to eat. We were passing through town and decided to give it a try. It was average on all accountsservice, food, and atmosphere. Our food order ended up being four sandwiches, one beer, and an order of sweet potato fries. Our check with tip ended up being around $60. Definitely not worth that amount of money.

I was glad we stopped. What a great place it was. The pork appetizer was slightly over cooked however. Other than that everything was delicious. Friendly quick service as well. Would recommend if your in the area or driving by.

We had to wait for a table on a Monday night due to all of the people stopping on their way home from the eclipse but it was a quick wait. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was OK. We had the fried smoked gouda for an appetizer which was very tasty. Great beer selection. I recommend giving Gabby Goat a try.

The food is amazing. I drive 2 hours one way to eat here. Jason and the rest of the staff is great. The southwest rangoon is a must try

Mostly a grilled sandwich type place but good mix of creative ideas and ingredients. Separate pub and grill entrances, happy hours and karaoke nights

Not exactly an upscale place. I had a mushroom burger on some kind of rye bread and it was a tiny piece of meat on a massive piece of bread. Literally 50% of the bread had nothing between it.

    Good beer selection though.

I would give Gabby Goat more stars if I could. I come here frequently and try new things. I've never had something I didn't like. The waffle sweet potato fries are the best I've ever had, the icing/butter combo they serve them with is perfection. The taco salad with fajita chicken is incredible and the shell is great too. Their boneless wings are really good and very filling. The burgers are great but come pink in the middle unless you make a point to order it well done. I like that they have tons of bun and topping options for the burgers. My boyfriend orders the horseshoe with white cheese and always says its amazing. Best of all, the service here can't be beat. They seat you as fast as they can, keep your drinks filled, are quick, and get your order right. Highly recommend Gabby Goat! One of the best places in Effingham to eat.

We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday there last year and her 22nd there this year. Kids could be there til 9 so that was great. We were able to have dinner and drinks. I suggest if you are there on Thursday evening , try the rib special. They were delicious and the meat fell of the bones and was super moist and tender. The asparagus were cooked to perfection. Our server was Tyler and he was very friendly and did a fantastic job.
