The Renaissance Center offers spectacular views and a wide variety of restaurants and bars. It is a landmark in Detroit and amazing to view by land or from Lake St. Claire.

Great building. The sidewalk is nice. The exhibition or the showroom isn't quite so good enough as a Big company as GM.

Built by Ford, now, GM's oversized billboard. Basically, a very large building with hotels, shops (very few), restaurants, office space, condos and apartments, all adjacent to a big chunk of the Detroit river shoreline.
Here's some fun facts:
73 stories
no kids ( unless accompanied by an adult)
29 restaurants
1300 hotel rooms
3 miles of riverfront
My opinion: for the most part boring, so a good place if you want to relax and take a nap. Same is true if I were a tourist visiting Detroit: the showcase of GM products is less than what you'd find at a smallish GM dealership.
If you're here on business, it might just be your ticket.

The Renaissance Center is a One-Stop Shop. The architecture of the building is a sight to see, outside as well as inside. Many stores located on different levels. An amazing food court, a showroom for cars made by the GM company, so you get to see the newest GM cars, and learn about them. The Marriot Hotel is connected, the views of the Detroit River and skyline of Canada is just pure **gasps**

When I got there, I couldn't really do much because it was nearing the end of the day, the shops were closed, and there were construction going on (for the new automotive-display area). However the building itself is amazing. The entrance are with GM cars which are just nice to see in itself. Inside, the building is designed very well, with bunch of different nooks-and-cranies to discover within. There were food court below which had few variety, but a huge lounge area which is versatile. A nice tourist attraction to visit.
