Not a bad place to shop. Checking out was very convenient and the staff are very friendly. You do have to go to the check out area if you are picking up an item that you ordered on line. There is alot of open parking available out in front of the store.
Absolutely and Utterly disappointed. I drove an hour to this store to pick up and order that I placed at 5 am, after being notified via email at 11 am the order was ready for pick up. I arrive at the store at 9:11 pm only to be told they did not have all my items. After spending an additional hour in the store while they look for them the manager explains their system has been having a glitch and that it has been notifying customers in error that their orders are available. I explained that they should have then notified customers of this as not to inconvenience people like myself who drive from far places under the premise that the items are available. He explains that they would have had to make over a hundred calls. So you mean to tell me it was more convenient to inconvenience customers? This is unacceptable. I wasted my gas, and my time to very little consolation.
Very very poor customer service. I'm dissatisfied with the concern for my frustration and ultimately the situation.
These people are idiots. We have ordered things online twice and they lost it both times. 5 graphics cards one time and a TV the other. How do you lose that? On top of that, they don't apologize. They just give a blank stare and say we don't have it. Laziness at it's finest.
There was a greeter when I arrived whom was very friendly and helpful. She was an older lady, light skinned. I cant remember her name. The managers seems to know where everything is. I was assisted by an associate who could locate the item in HIS department. Had to get the Manager who got the Floor Supervisor. I got the product that I needed and went home. That greeter was the best!! I wish I could remember her name.
DO NOT ORDER ONLINE IF LOW QUANTITIES!!!! I tried to order a laptop online and have it delivered. I placed the order and was informed that they were prepping the item for shipping. I was required to be home during the delivery window so I left work early for the 4 hour window. I received an email 30min before the delivery window ended stating that my cancellation request was approved(I did not request it to be canceled). When I called the store they told me that they canceled it because they could not find the computer and maybe the NEW LAPTOP was out for maintenance. I Don't know how you misplace a $1000 laptop and why it would be sent for maintenance????? I emailed the national customer service and they told me that they do not have access to sales records and I would have to contact the store??? The item remained for sale in the website till this morning and now it is no longer available. SOMETHING SEAMS OFF TO ME! This was a great deal and I hope that the associates did not do something underhanded to keep the item.
Found everything I needed for a engine control module repair without having to order and wait for products online. Good to keep local businesses in business. All staff I had encountered were very helpful and happy to help you find what you need and are actually very knowledgeable on their products they sell.
The shine is off this place. Couldn't find what I was looking for because of the poorly stocked shelves and open box items. Still a great place if an item is on sale, just not my go to place anymore for electronics.
I love Fry's as a store but the customer service was not what very promising. I went to look at cameras to install in my vehicle and the installation rep was busy with another customer. I asked him to help me and he pretty much made me wait for 15 to 20 minutes while he talked to someone else that was a "potential" sale when all I had was a few questions about a product that could have resulted in a "actual" sale. I finally found someone else who sent me to the T.V. section and when I got there, I started asking questions about the product that I wanted and he could not answer any of my questions nor could he tell me anything about the camera. At that point, I put the product down and left without giving them a sale and continue wasting my time. Most of the Fry stores are better about customer service and usually eager to make a sale but this store did not. I was very disappointed.
First of all, I love Fry's. It's one of my favorite places to go because they have a wide variety of things. I haven't been to the Duluth location in several years since I've moved out of gwinnett county. My boyfriend and I were in the area for the day so decided to drop by. It's the same as how I remember it except their movie selection wasn't as big and completely out of order. There were workout videos in the horror section and just random movies everywhere with no kind of order, which isn't that big of a deal. My biggest issue was with their bathrooms. I usually don't use public facilities unless it's an emergency and this was one of those times. Every stall except 2 had fecal matter all the way to the top of the toilets! Out of the two fecal free toilets, only one had toilet paper. My daughter and I both had to use the bathroom so while she was waiting on me, she pointed out that she could see right through the door. They have slanted bars on the doors but if you position yourself in just the right way, you can see the person on the other side doing their business. The bathrooms were a mess as well and there was a definite odor. So, if you happen to be at this Fry's, hopefully you don't need to use the bathroom. Otherwise, I still love Fry's and luckily this location is too far for me now.
Fry's used to be a good company. But not anymore. I ordered a washer and dryer set earlier today. The website said the units were in stock and my order confirmation said they would be delivered between 2:00 and 6:00 today. I also got a phone call confirming that they were going to be delivered today. I just got a call (at 6:00, when my washer and dryer were supposed to be delivered) telling me that the units are nowhere to be found in the warehouse so they can't be delivered today. The team will have to look for the units tomorrow morning and they might be delivered tomorrow afternoon if they can be found, but now there's no guarantee that I'll actually get the items I paid for. Now I've been stuck on hold for ten minutes trying to speak to someone who knows what the hell is going on with my order. Fry's will never get another dime from me for their ineptitude.
Made an online order over 2 hours before, got an email saying it was ready. went to the counter patiently waited over 30 minutes. NO associate got my order. Went and got my items and then paid and left. And my items were still not collected by that time. They also hide items or put them in random places that can be hard to find. Some of technology computer sales associates are liars. They come around to see if you need help and when you ask them some seem incompetent or do not deliver. They need to train their associates better and organize the store.
This no frills electronic store is essentially the Home Depot electronic goods inside a massive warehouse you can find everything from unique tools to wall sized flat screen tvs and refrigerators. The employees can be a little clingy at times but is quite forgivable in lieu of the typically super cheap prices they have on items.
I've only come to Fry's a handful of times in the past and most of the time it's a positive experience. Was in the store on Thursday evening and asked an "Audio Video Sales Supervisor" where the camera tripods were at. As we were walking there, he was super friendly and asked me some questions about what kind of pictures I take and really just an all around really nice gentlemen. All these negative reviews are actually surprising, as every experience I've had, especially this one, have all been pretty good. Keep up the good work.
They have pretty much anything you could need, electronics, toys, appliances, computers, even components and tools. Good repair and installation services. My only complaint is I've met pretty aggressive sales staff on some visits (why do I need a quote sheet for a $50 keyboard I found by myself?)
I went into Fry's looking to purchase a monitor. I arrive to the store, was greeted by a fairly happy courtesy clerk at the door, who, seemed to enjoy her job. Walked straight back to the computers department, as I assumed that's where the monitors were located. I ran into a salesman who seemed to be extremely incompetent about almost everything in the department, so I said thank you and continued to look around the department. I was then asked "hey man, how's it goin'?" so I thought oh, someone actually personable. Turns out, the second salesman actually knew something about monitors, and explained how he had just recently transferred into the department.
Customer service, all in all, is pretty good.
