Expensive and not as good as steak in Providence. Go to the capitol grill instead
Okay. If you love j Gilbert's you will love Fred & Steve's they have some excellent food. I had the ribeye , stuffed mushrooms and lobster bisque. Steak is not as seasoned out like Gilbert's which hi really appreciated. Stuffed mushrooms were very rich and filling great flavor. Fred & Steve's spare no expense on the staff.. lots of them and they're all very friendly and there for you checking on your steaks and food to make sure you're happy. Can't wait to go back.
Love this place! Always a great experience and tasty food!
It is pricey but the food and service is well worth it
Never had a meal that was not excellent.
Best filet mignon around! Errol our waiter always makes visit more enjoyable. Ask for him if you go.
This was my first visit to Fred & Steve's
And I was wowed by the service and of course the food.
I felt appreciated as a customer and I will definatley have a return visit.
I treated myself to the surf & turf and I really enjoyed my dish.
My server's Errol and Kevin made me feel extra comfortable.
Thank you so much!

Steve and Fred are real A Holes and there stake house is over priced
Don't be misled by the casino location - this is a top notch steakhouse that would do well downtown in any citynot inexpensive but you get what you pay forso forget the slots and head upstairs
Excellent food and exceptional service! Too bad it's in the casino! That doesn't do it the praise IT deserves!
The service is A+ here. Every detail is explained from the menu to when the items will arrive at your table. We ordered the 10 oz Petite Filet and it was cooked medium rare. The atmosphere is that of a high end sports bar with football jerseys hanging on the walls.
Ridiculously overpriced steakhouse. My $88 dollar Porter House steak was butchered up and smothered with a horrible onion sauce. I specifically requested for just the steak prepared Rare to a slight medium Rare. No Sauce!. Wasn't worth that price at all. I've had better steaks at "Texas Roadhouse" or "Outback" chain restaurants then @ this place. I felt cheated!!! I don't even think I was given the actual cut slices of the alleged aged Porter house. For all I know it was scrap pieces placed on the plate fan style. Which would explain why the excessive amount of onions and that horrible sauce they were caramelized in ! I'll never go back!!!
Could not believe how my boyfriend and myself were treated here. Made reservations which took an extra 30 minutes to be seated. We were not seated in the dining area and instead placed in the lounge area right next to where the waiters and waitresses check out everyone's bills. The amount of commotion next to us did not leave any room for an intimate setting whatsoever. The waitress ordered our drinks and did not come back for another twenty minutes with them and then left our menus on the tiny cramped table leaving no room to even enjoy them. The total attitude towards us as a younger couple was careless comparable to older couples (we've been here with older family members before). Once we placed our order and the waitress realized we were serious, our food came out rather promptly. The steak was completely cold in the center absolutely killing what little the establishment had to offer. Completely disgusted for a $140 bill. Won't be back.
