What an adorable tavern from the past! The Franklin House Tavern is a charming old building with a "real bar" like they show in Westerns. The regulars are there, of course, and the other clientele seem to come from everywhere near and far. Make no mistake about the food - it is NOT pub food! We've tried most of the items on the lunch and dinner menu and have NEVER been disappointed. We've been surprised, but never disappointed. I can't recommend this place highly enough - the Franklin House Tavern is a throwback tavern with IPAs, the best food, and terrific staff. If you're undecided, JUST GO!!

BEEN here a few times. Always had a good time. Burgers are excellent. Reasonable price. Owner is fun and courteous. Diner Food a bit high priced but worth it.

Waited 1 hour for food, left without eating. Will never return. This was our 3rd visit. No excuses or correction offered. Waitress did not keep us informed of when to expect arrival of food. Owner offered no apology other than 45 minutes is their policy for dinner to be served AFTER appetizer (which by the way was an AFTER thought added after dinner order was already placed)!!

Nice little historical restaurant with good food. They have a small draft beer selection and the food is pricey, but it is very tasty. Not very packed for a Friday night around 530pm. No drink specials in the dining room.

First time there in years. Went on a Tuesday per a friends recommendation, for the special "Burger Night". The burger was excellent. But I could not take advantage of the special because they would not let me change the cheese. I cannot eat white American cheese and they would not let me change it to provolone.

The wings are good. Just fyi, a grilled salad isn't grilled chicken on a saladit is literally grilled letuce. Don't order it unless you are into that kind of thing.
